Looks a lot like a Packard Caribbean from the same era. Both beautiful automobiles.

No mention of the glass in the top of the car. I had a fifty four model that half of the roof was a dark green color and then it had a chrome strip that divided the metal from the glass. I believe it was called a starliner

Nice photos. Should be titled "1955" instead of "1956". The majority of shots are of 55's.

What really is interesting is the rear quarter panel accent of the 1955 Mercury would end up being the rear end design of the 1956 Lincoln. Also seen in the 1956 Lincoln would be the hooded headlights. The 56 Lincoln would win a design award, and the design would be destroyed one year late in 1957, with fins and dual head lights.

the 55 Montclairs that you are showing at first are my fave cars, the Montclair was introduced in 55, Monterey had been around for a few years
