i don’t know why ppl get so confused with seungnyang’s feelings. if u analyze it more u will notice seungnyang was into tahwan at first. but the betrayal happened so it stopped. then wang yu came into the picture. their love for each other happened so fast like all of a sudden they’re in love w each other. that’s also why when wang yu proposed to her she was having second thoughts, remembered ta hwan and cried. that’s why she didn’t accept the proposal at first. what she felt for wang yu was more like admiration, gratitude and infatuation. he was her hero and the king of goryeo. she looked up to him. he saved her. she did love him tho especially she was the father of her child. but u can see that her feelings for the emperor grew more strongly as time passes by. she was in denial at first and that she’s starting to feel afraid. and the moment she fell for the emperor, what she only felt for wang yu was care. and nah, she didn’t love wangyu till he died. ppl are so confused by it. she even said to ta hwan that someday he will know her feelings. and that’s also why she’s more concerned about tahwan’s feelings when he killed wang yu. that’s also why she was so afraid that he will leave her or be done with her. whenever she’s with wang yu, she’s so formal. but whenever she’s with tahwan she can be herself. she can be silly, playful, she can joke around, she smiles a lot, she laughs a lot at the final scene, it showed the scene where she chooses tahwan over wang yu then rode the horse together with him. it can be interpreted in many ways. even though the path that she will take with ta hwan is rough and painful, she will always choose ta hwan. wang yu may be her first love but ta hwan is her greatest love.

Yap. Her relationship with Wang Yu is a formal and professional. But when she's with Tah hwan as a servant. It's different.

You are so right, I watched the serie and couldn't stop, Ta hwan is my favourite, how he treated her, as he said he will wait till she comes, I was crying, so beautiful oh heaven help me but it was so said in the end, I hate Golta so much!

True from the beginning their love was there, he never abandoned her, and protect her until the end ❤. He killed wang yu because he knows he will be dangerous for her and his son❤

Those both actors matched really well during the Drama and did their roles perfect. Empress Ki was my first k-drama I watched and over the time, THX Netflix, I rewatched it 10 Times+ and never be tired to do that. Yeah, Wang Yu was Not Yangs first love and Not her true, big love, but he saved her as she was a child and they had a big enemy together Yeonchol. Yeonchol was the enemy of Tawhan too, so they were abel to work against him together. If Tawhan not have had lied cuz of Yangs fathers dead to safe his own life, Wang Yu had never got a chance to fell in love with her and became a relationship; Yang was fallen a that time for Tawhan. Second thing was, she was older than Tawhan (5 years older was the real Empress) but from age there was a better understandung between them and Wang Yu was much older than her. I think they Problem ist not the Plot, the most people notice Not that it's the imagined life of Empress Ki, even you can ready that at the end of each part 🤷

This had to be the best music to visuals I've seen for this drama... It flows so well from beginning to end.. The lyrics and beat are in synch with the images... Beautifully put together and undoubtedly took a long time to do.. X

Shantel Gray ok, I'm in! I cried my eyes out watching The Flames Daughter, The Kings Woman, and Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, just to name a few. I love Chinese dramas but so many of the good ones are not subtitled...
