Thank you for you comment on the face wipes! Being low waste is about YOU doing the best YOU can. If that means someone has to use something that is disposable, that just means what they can do is different, not that they aren’t trying or that it’s your place to judge.

Thank you for commenting on straws, face wipes, etc.! I personally have no reason to use them on a regular basis but for some people they may be a necessity. Doing your best to leave a low footprint is exactly that - your own personal best, which is different for everyone. Inclusivity is important ❤

Thank you for mentioning that some people need to use single use items occasionally. My son has a sensory disability, and I get flack for him needing straws constantly. It’s not ideal but as a family we take care to use eco-friendly options as often as we CAN. I get shamed frequently, and this was really nice to hear someone acknowledge ❤️❤️❤️

So happy to mention these things, i didn't realize for a long time until i saw people spreading awareness on twitter but it makes perfect sense and noting it helps us do better as a society.

thank you for mentioning face wipes working better for disabled people! that’s me. i still only use a few a month but they’re important in those times because i’d otherwise not wash my face at all.

Conditioner first. Safety razor has been slightly life-changing. No more futile attempts to find a vegan and CF razor that works. My concern with make-up wipes is that they don't remove everything, and usually contain fragrance that is left on the skin if that's the only cleanser used. PS. Jasön has to dandruff shampoos that are vegan and CF- both are good, but one has a strong, peculiar smell and the other one smells good.

Rhian you are the perfect example of having a strong viewpoint but not being preachy! So many cruelty free/sustainability people on the internet seem to think it’s all or nothing. I love that you give a lot of options but also realise that not everybody can do everything. I just wish more things were readily available in uk x

I go through way more conditioner than shampoo. I have long curly hair so I have to saturate it in conditioner so I have enough slip to detangle it without damaging it. Plus it needs a lot of moisture because curls are porous.

I keep forgetting getting to order the DermaE Vitamin E lotion, which it crazy since my medicine cabinet is 90% DermaE. When I am up on my feet I am going to get my Lush to smell the Lush Beard wash, if I love it the hubby is getting to. I love the empty video, show that you don’t let things go to waste. Thanks again for all the 🖤 hard work.

Love the comment about wipes and straws etc.! Sometimes people need to take care of themselves first before they can help other people/things. (Also why the fuss about those things when there a lot of other things that could help the environment more.) I always finish conditioner first because I usually switch between 2 shampoos but only have 1 thing of conditioner!

I use a safety razor to reduce waste for shaving! It looks like a very classic, old-style razor. It's metal, and all you do is replace the single blade in it, so there's no plastic involved. There's a bit of a learning curve to using it, but I really love mine! The blades are so cheap too, I got like 100 for a few bucks!

I have curly hair so I basically go through a travel size shampoo in the time I go through a jumbo bottle of conditioner, if that lol I have to have a good amount of conditioner to detangle and moisturize my hair because curls are by nature coarser and more porous.

I love when you stand up for us marginalized peeps. Also, we have similar oral care routines, I use the Hello sensitive toothpaste, and Desert Essence mouthwash BUT I use the whitening one with the blue label and it tastes SO MUCH better than the regular. Also, we're going to get you over to the safety razor side and your life will be so much better than struggling with Preserve.

now that the *concealer* is empty anyway, have you tried to remove the sponge tip? I saw it works amazingly well for the popular maybelline sponge tip concealer and I'm sure I'm not the only one curious to see if it works with the CT one without sacrificing the product! x

If I buy a matching shampoo and conditioner, I have to repurchase the shampoo at least 3 or 4 times before I get through the bottle of conditioner. I always use way more shampoo than I probably should and only a dab or conditioner. My hair is just like yours.

I, like you, have fine/oily hair and I gave up on conditioner for a while but then I moved back to a less humid climate and now I use conditioner fairly regularly but found I can finally go a day between washing my hair which I have never been able to do without looking like I hadn’t showered in a month 😂 dry shampoo doesn’t do much for me
@rhianhy5 жыл бұрын
I was able to train my hair/scalp to go longer between washes by cutting out conditioner too! Idk what you've tried but i will say, not all dry shampoos are created equal... i find the "invisible" ones that aren't powdery just do not work for me and if anything make it feel dirtier and heavy. Thats why i always go for the powdery ones and i especially love applying them at night!
@janellebatta41265 жыл бұрын
I go through at least 3 bottles of conditioner per bottle of shampoo. Maybe 5. But my hair can take A LOT of conditioner. Before I shower, I use the Pacifica Coconut Pro Strong & Long creamy oil mask, then I shampoo and rinse it out and apply the Pacifica Salty Waves conditioner. I'm totally addicted to the creamy oil mask.
