The Dalai Lama said here:- * If you develop an awakened mind, then the purification of negative karma will take care of itself. * Every day reflect on (contemplate) the EMPTINESS of everything. * Many of our problems come from self-centeredness. * Many good things come from including others. So have COMPASSION. * Open up your tight grip on your sense of self (ego-centeredness). See more of yourself in others. * Develop a sense of oneness with all 7 billion human beings on this planet. * The more you think about others, the more you will have happiness.

Dear Bruce Roberts, Thank you for encapsulating the video in pointers. Please, can you help me understand 'if you develop an awakened mind, then the purification of negative Kamma will take care of itself'
@WeAreAllOneNature3 жыл бұрын
@@charmishah9884 The whole section explaining it is between 0:33 and 1,51. People who practice Buddhism should try to focus their effort only on cultivating 'bodhicitta'. Bodhicitta is the selfless intention to awaken (become enlightened) in order to help other people awaken. Once you have cultivated the awakening mind, the purification (removal) of negative karma, and the accumulation (increase) of good karma will happen naturally. But you don't need to be bothered by these things. By selflessly wishing to include and help others in your goal of reaching enlightenment, then your egocentric selfishness becomes a lot less. By choosing, with humility, to help other beings, you should gain good karma, and bad karma will get cleared. But it is best not to think about this because these benefits should not be the reason you do bodhicitta. It should be done with no pride, ego or hope of karmic gain. Just pure altruistic compassion. I am no expert on Buddhism, and this is just my best answer to you. It's not perfect. Probably an expert would say the word 'try' shouldn't be used.

Sense of oneness of 7M people. Stay well and safe. We ❤️ u.

Compassion can be bad too. The worst kind of oppressors are the ones who believe they know the only way to liberate you. A villian may get bored, or may be effected by a conscious. But someone who does you harm for what they think is your own good will NEVER stop. Because they do you harm with the approval of their compassion.
@WeAreAllOneNature3 жыл бұрын
If someone tries to impose in the way you described, isn't that actually 'ego', and not 'compassion', even if that person wrongly believes it is compassion? So compassion isn't the problem, egotistical delusion is the problem. Also, if you ignore, or disregard the advice from such a person, they will have zero effect upon you. So surely such people aren't the worst kind of oppressors when compared to tyrants like Adolf Hitler.

Death Time is everything and everything is now. Everything will change according to time. I have come to change the time that left my children to suffer the pain of hell. All human beings in the world were created by good and evil.Before everyone goes astray, I will bring salvation to all through death and bring them to balance. I am death too.

But drawing a good boundary is also necessary for mental peace bz sometimes people will drain u by taking so much of your energy bz they don't set their limits of receiving .... It's not always easy to keep up with people in life , i m we can feel our gut that this person is not good for my mental health... Than also should we continue to give love???

Emptiness, indeed, now you are decisively My Holiness, though compassion is your purview now my heart is stone, I house the unholy most distinctly, my tooth & broken & shoulder remain untreated in this disgusting West. I have a special place reserved for Donald John Trump's soul in Oblivion, the bottomless pit for throwing me & my nephew under the bus babbling about doing more for Christianity than Jesus did. No more forgiveness. My Father David warned Judah. I as Saint Michael can, indeed, absolve others personally, but I don't have any reason to.

From the title and message of this video, I can see how 'emptiness' is 'perception', and 'compassion' is 'intention'.
