I have lost two nephews, a niece and my precious grandchild directly and indirectly to the drug epidemic. It tears my heart out and I don’t know what to do with it.

@@Octavus5 but it is still unattachment that allows the snowflake to exist in a raging fire, not indifference...an indifferent snowflake would melt at the flick of a candle flame ;)

@@tmalonso You're right. Non attachment is not indifference. What you've stated is not incorrect. However, if what you stated was meant to echo the speaker, then it's not correct. Master Bon Soeng is too attached to emotional resonance, etc. He says he doesn't want to feel "dead." But you first have to feel dead before you can come alive. This is my view.

@@Octavus5 how can one sweat or shiver while dead? ;)

@@tmalonso When you arrive at #8, you don't stay there. You keep going until you get to #10. Or as Master Seung Sahn said, you have to complete the circle, back to 360.

How can life is short? However, Patriarch Hui Neng says, One's "Essence of Mind"; Neither moves nor stays; Neither comes nor goes. "Life" itself is timeless; Beginningless & endless! 😊
