Good Tricky Long Serve

Long and spinny serve is very effective in table tennis. And we don't pay enough attention to long serve. You should learn a very good long serve.
Today, I want to present a showcase of a very spinny and good long serve from Brette Clark. He is the Olympian and Commonwealth Games Silver Medalist.

I think Brett Clarke's best serve is actually his short topspin serve. I've played it and it's well disguised with the backspin variation and it's like playing a strong spin loop. He uses short serves most often in a match. That makes his long serves much more effective because you're trying desperately to work out how to get that short serve back and a long serve with weird spin comes flying out at you. Also notice that he can spin the serve with both sidespin variations, he gets really strong sidespin both ways and he uses an exceptionally good feint with his serve to disguise which sidespin he's using forcing you to read it off the table if you miss seeing the contact point. I've seen Brett make other pros look like beginners trying to receive his serve.

I personally use a lot of very havy backpin reverse pendulum and hook serves all spin variations because i have very powerful forhand and i am usually able to funish the ball until 5 th ball attack. Do you have any tips regarding the attack of long serves. And if you want to recommend good serve to set up and make difficult for the opponent to put short

Very good serve. You can't return it short with soft touch. The ball is returned long, so you can attack it. Profit this serve if your style is agressive counter attack on both sides

I do reverse phantom serve! It's like a frontal pendulum serve.

Heavy backspin require "knock" approach such as "flipping with in pai placement". Footwork should be consistent.

you will not beat the master He Zhiwen... but, of course left handers and pen-holders are the most difficult opponents for a standard-righty - if all they have is a 50:50 short undercut and long speed-ball variation : just attack everything, gaining 50:50 percent chance back, and chop the short-ones back safe, once they start coming. hit harder B ))

That kinda serve is effective only with bad receveirs, if you know how to properly topspin a ball either with drive or backhand you can receive it no prob. I don't think the serves are too good, the players receveing on this video are way too amateur.
