This show is great!! Hope to see more.. Reminds me so much of the shows that I use to watch growing up in the 80's. You just don't see shows like this any more. :-)

Thanks for checking, I appreciate it. In the meantime I will keep an eye out for any areas on the Internet that may have a copy of the video. I will also keep an eye out for any Internet sites that may contain videos of the Emu's Pink Windmill episodes. I am hoping that anyone reading this will come about with the episode and let you know. Thanks again. P.S. By the way this is a great episode!!

@@VideotapeFTW why are they making cookies and some lollipops?
@VideotapeFTW Жыл бұрын
@@Imhanawacrying No special reason - they were always trying to make the Pink Windmill look like a busy factory in the early series. I do wonder whether there was a merchandising opportunity in the back of their minds...

You're welcome! The shows are almost infectiously cheerful, aren't they? I know they say Disneyland is the happiest place on earth, but I always wanted to live in the Pink Windmill. :-)

There was a lot more personality in shows back then. I wonder what the kids of today will be remembering when they're our age...

There was one episode of this show that had the kids dancing to the song "Work Your Body", and it was really good. I am not sure who sings the song, but if you could locate the episode that it was in and post it then that would be great!!

I'm now wondering what Croc (and Bungle, and the Animal Kwackers) REALLY looked like?

Ah, well the guy playing Croc in this one went on to play Robot Redford, and here he is being interviewed: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5PIeoann7CAas0m30s Here he is with the next Croc, playing two guards in Boggle's Kingdom: kzbin.info/www/bejne/epmcpamjo6loedUm49s And I can even help you out with Bungle, as there's a video on my channel with him in it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5W6dnSCfdmgh7Mm49s The guy who voices George and Zippy also appears a bit later on in that. :-)

@@VideotapeFTWI believe Emu’s World Series 1 was filmed at Central House in Birmingham (B1 2JP), before series 2 & 3 were filmed at ATV’s old studios in Elstree (which Central were allowed to use until the East Midlands Television Centre in Nottingham was completed). All the series from series 4 onwards (including all spinoffs) were filmed at the EMTC.
@VideotapeFTW4 ай бұрын
@@glenncooney3959 I've since been reliably informed that series 1 was Broad Street, Birmingham; series 2 was Elstree; everything after that until the live series was back at Broad Street; and then everything from the live series until the end was Lenton Lane, Nottingham - with the exception of Emu at Christmas, which was Broad Street. I think that's right. None of which gets us any closer to where the Come Follow the Band outdoors bits were shot - that mystery continues.

I agree, oh and btw: since Belgian television didn't have that many kid's shows back when my mum was younger, she used to watch British television. She remembers watching the first live season of Emu's all live pink windmill show and might have recorded an episode. Next time I visit my grandmother I'll ask if she still has a tape laying around somewhere. I doubt she'll still have one, but you never know...
@VideotapeFTW7 жыл бұрын
I'll tell you what: that would be absolutely amazing if Emu recordings show up from outside of the UK! Thanks very much in advance for asking - like you say, you never know. :-)
