In this video, I demonstrate how several Heathkit computer products can run in emulation on a desktop computer using the MAME emulator software. Web links: mamedev.org heathkit.garlanger.com www.lulu.com/shop/jeff-trante...

Thanks for your excellent video explaining how to run Heathkit computers in MAME. Many people still think MAME is only for video games. Maybe it was that way years ago. Today’s MAME also emulates many many different computers as well. We need more videos like yours showing in detail how to actually use the computer emulations that exist in MAME. Some of the emulations are more complete than others as you have shown here with H89 compared to H8. The major home computers probably have the best support. I have made videos demonstrating the TRS-80 Coco, IBM PC/AT and clones, and the SWTPC 6800 computers all running under MAME. Those systems even emulate different cards and peripherals you can attach to the computers including cartirdges, floppy and disk controllers, drives, and disk images, tape drives, sound cards, printers, serial ports, MAME does have a learning curve but you’ll have so much fun playing with different systems once you learn it. Again, please keep up the good work.
