Hi Emylee! Would you consider making a video about how to move arms while shuffling? I'm always too stiff in my upper body when I dance and I def want to get better

I have been doing the running man since i was 8, i never new the name i just saw someone do it and i started doing it, but i didnt know that people thought it was cool and hard to do, so i didnt do it in front of people because i thought it might've been wierd. But im good at shuffling now and people are surprised when they see i can shuffle cause thet havent seen me do it before. Thanks for the tutorial i really needed this cause i couldnt seem to find the right way to put the moves together 🥺❤

I was the same way. I was unknowingly doing the running man for so long. Even though it wasn't perfect (still isn't lol) the timing was off as well as too much kick down. Despite that, this is one of the reasons, I think, why it was so easy for me to at least start getting into shuffle since I already had a bit of a head start.

Emylee! Girllll! I’ve been watching you for a hot minute and been trying to teach myself to shuffle for an even hotter minute. You’ve brought so much light and inspiration into my life. I watched this vid yesterday and today I had the first shuffle SESH where I finally felt my flow, felt excited, happy, connected and drenched in sweat lol.. I feel like I can finally groove to the music without feeling defeated. I’m a slow learner lol. Thank you so much for making content. I plan on doing some shuffle coaching w u sometime soon (: thanks again, xo!

I started following your tutorials a few months ago and on Halloween tried shuffling in public for the first time. Your tutorials gave me the comfort and fluency to feel like I could zone out and focus on the fun! Later that evening to my surprise strangers complimented my dancing for the first time in my life ^_^. Thanks so much for the amazing tutorials! They're so much fun and have opened up a whole new world of movement for me :D.

Hi Emylee, when I see you shuffle I get inspired to keep going. Videoing myself has corrected a lot of my style. Thanks. You also remind me how lovely it is to be in a fit body and dressed in clothes and foot wear that makes me want to move. I break into shuffling when there are open areas in shopping centers. Kids join in.

I love that you mentioned how shuffle is a freeform style. Even before I started looking into dancing, I'd see dancers (from all genres) with these complicated routines that were very specific and rigid and I would just be turned away from the idea of "I could dance too." For two reasons, one; I just know I wouldn't be able to keep track of a big complicated string like that and two; I've always been a very "go with the flow" type of person. Do whatever feels right in every given moment. If something doesn't feel right, it is very difficult to keep myself on it. So shuffle is perfect for me I think.

I totally understand what you mean about not being able to dance to certain songs. I could dance to all of them, but when you don't truly connect with the beat it doesn't come out as effortless

humm- i've been shuffling for 6 months - previously i had the biggest mental block about dancing at all - i wouldn't go to parties if there was going to be dancing - i finally said it's time to address this problem - when i started with tutorials on you tube i'd start sweating just thinking about going to practice - point is and to keep this short - i shuffle every nite no matter what ( well almost - if i'm physically exhausted is only time i don't ). So shuffling every nite is a big habit and commitment - and for me to keep the boredom away from doing choreography practice sometime i just go out and move to whatever i feel like doing - trying to see what new move i see evolve out of some other basic steps . Within a few minutes i'm having fun because i found a move that's hitting my body in ways that is a development - it's all about development for me - mentally - physically - emotionally ... sometimes i just want to move - do spins and whatever comes to mind - that's the challenge and an aspect that i need to develop - tonight i'm sitting here typing - it's midnight exactly - and i'm just looking forward to going to the floor and feeling my body out and moving again - sweating - and just enjoying the process whatever it is ------- hope that helps - Emylee's tutorials helped me so much - i keep learning - have fun good luck and like Van Seco says " don't be lazy " (=

I have watched the intro of your video a dozen times or more. You are so good and beautiful to learn from. I wish you were my girl friend then I could dance with you and strut my stuff. I love looking fit and dancing does it. My legs look fantastic but my upper body needs work now. I'm using an axle from a trailer for weight lifting. By the way, your playfulness is adorable.

Hey x I was just wondering could I ask , basically I'm a beginner , decided today that I really wanna learn this, its had me sweating lol .. how many days through the week and time spent on practising is ideal , xx
@medicalinterest90914 жыл бұрын
Personally, I only do a few minutes each day. At the beginning I was clumsy and skipping too high. The art seems to require minimizing the jumping motion. That's what was exhausting me. I also do warm ups to get my breathing ready. It is very easy to get short of breath and feel unfit.
@EmyleeRatzlaff4 жыл бұрын
if you can practice every day, even if its only for 15 minutes you'll really start to see an improvement. It's all about muscle memory with shuffling
