Interesting candid video. I would say educational as well because the journey is different for everyone and how one transit to the next path. Would be great to share your childhood in your hometown before coming to Singapore. How certain festival were celebrated. My trip to my ancestor hometown in Quanzhou many years back was an eye opening.

我们新加坡是秉持 '有容乃大 无欲则刚' 的原则来接纳、欢迎任何国籍的人。问题是: 当新加坡在2000前后刚开放给中国人进来时，我们本土国人遇到了 '排山倒海' 的中国人所带来的 '文化冲击'。其中一项就是中国人劈头就质问的 "为什么你们不是中国人?" 变本加厉的就是中国人把这里当成他们的其中一个 '省份'，态度和思语言上都透露出一种 '这里属于我们' 的思想和观念。我们可以容许任何爱他们的 '祖国'，但请不要一开口就 '厉害祖国'、'伟大主席'、'炎黄子孙'、'龙的传人' 这种 '红色' 口号。我们是新加坡，真的不是 '中国省'。

@@SuccessforLifester Not sure if it was due to your language barrier(?). The fact that they talked loudly and behaved uncivilised is the reflection of their belief that they really regard our country as one of their 'provinces'. In fact, on China's internal media space, they are calling our country as 坡县. A good part of the PRCs don't really care where you are from; the moment they see you are 'yellow-skinned' and 'black hair', they will regard you as a '中国人' and expect you to be 'part of them'; hence you Should subject yourself to their 'racial rules'.

我还是坚持认为🇸🇬，实际并不是一个很适合中国小孩留学的地方，尤其对于11～17岁左右，青春期阶段的中国孩子来说。因为新加坡民风的整体基调就是反z的，而这个年龄段的小孩大多已开始身心发育，不是白纸一片，多少有一些自己的思想内涵了，但又没有完全固定，处于摇摆不定的阶段，这个阶段留学出来的孩子长大以后很容易埋下心理问题，至少我认识的以前这个年龄段出来读书的留学生，最后留下的，多少都有相当明显的各种心理障碍。至于11岁以下的儿童，我认为勉强可以留学，但要做一些牺牲，比如新加坡的教育里没有教授中华文明的课程，所以儿童期来留学的中国孩子基本结局就是会被彻底本土化+丧失中华文化，如果不介意小孩丢失中华文化的，11岁以下来留学确实是个不错的选择，毕竟儿童期学语言是最容易的。再就是成年期，这个也是勉强适合的留学年龄，因为心智思想已经基本固定，不过国内和新加坡的政治环境很不一样，平日难免跟同学、同事因为政见不合产生矛盾，所以情绪比较容易激动、脾气比较大的人也是不太建议成年期来留学的，容易给气出病。
