Combining Aboriginal fingerweaving techniques with European materials, the sash remains an integral and highly symbolic aspect of Métis identity.

What a great and informative video to educate people like myself, who are Métis, finding their place in their communities, interested in learning more about their culture, being an active member and joining all the available groups or ceremonies, are proud of their identity and want to teach traditions to the younger generations. One day I will be an Elder too. Thank you for this video. I love the Red River jigging.
