Dawn Robinson adds that x factor to En Vogue if we were all to be honest!!! She has the vocal versatility that none of the other three have. I truly like her tone. She was the strongest singer out of the group. Only Dawn could ad lib & do all the riffs & whatever else the industry call it. She was the complete package & she was right when she said that if Lisa Left Eye & her had been friends they would have gotten along because they both thought on the same wavelength, especially when it came to seeing the imbalance within the industry aka the theft of their talent. Just being honest. While we're talking about being honest? That is what no one else liked about Dawn, she speaks the truth because she has self value & knows her worth. Why shouldn't she get paid the same kind of money that these newbies were getting? En vogue could have gone far if they had only supported Dawn in pursuing what they rightfully were worth. Thank you for posting! My pipe dream is a tour with EV5, featuring segments with the OG4, the first EV3 (Terry, Cindy, Max), the second EV3 (Terry, Cindy, Rhona), and EV5. With a bomb band or better yet a full orchestra behind them. Maybe for a set time. Best case scenario, all wounds heal, and everyone is happy. But at the very least, no drama before, during or after, and the EV3 who have kept the torch burning all these years can go back to doing what they do without fear of more disruption. Because they stayed booked and busy! I’ll keep praying that’s possible, and that it’s something that could be positive and stress-free for them & for us! 🙏 I live in hope.
