I love science, I love it because there is logic in every process. Unfortunately, however, it is not uncommon for such processes to be explained in a "confusing" way and, more often than not, lead to an idea (to us students) that does not represent the real course of things. Premise made to say that, as a medical student, in the study of tooth tissues, I found so much confusion that I was NEVER able to convince myself thoroughly through the various interpretations by reading the available texts. Shouldn’t the fish scale pattern be seen on longitudinal section ?

A section made along the long axis of a structure is called longitudinal section. So if Enamel rods are cut along their long axis, you will not see fish scale pattern.
