Umkonto Wesizwe guerrillas form most important component of our liberation struggle. They contributed so much to the fall of Apartheid. Without their existence and the pressure they put on the evil Government of Apartheid the country would probably still be under apartheid rule. The military training they received from communist countries and African countries made possible the strategies of ANC MK to succeed. The aim of MK was not to defeat SADF as it was then but to expose the evils and rejection of Apartheid government by the international community. Without it, the international communities and organisations that put pressure to end of Apartheid wouldn't have been aware of Apartheid. Salute to brave men of the soil. Now lets take the land.

Without the MK's activities both in exile and the country, South Africa's struggle for end of apartheid wouldn't have gained recognition by the world and as such De Klerk would not have been pressured to release Mandela. It reached a time when SA sports teams were also banned from international tournaments.. If MK and rest of the oppressed were silent.. Later, seeking safety, Turok's father moved the family to the then Union of South Africa in 1934. Jewish identification in his household was mostly cultural and his parents were involved in Yiddish theatre: "There were play readings, poetry evenings, political debates and a host of similar events all focusing on the Jewish way of life". May I burst your bubble? MK didn't play any role in the liberation struggle. The soldiers on the battlefield were SWAPO, FAPLA and Cubans. I was serving as a national serviceman in Angola in 1982. MK was nowhere. It was we (SADF) and UNITA against SWAPO, FAPLA and the Cubans (and some Russians). Even today, MK are dancing on the parade ground - not intimidating at all. "A disorderly mob is as much an army as a heap of building material is a house" - Socrates, 470 BC - 399BC. AND - civilians weren't caught in the crossfire. MK operated as terrorists, targeting civilians. Eish, I had to tell you.

Nonsense! MK Special Operation Units even managed to blow up almost the entire Apartheid Regime's fuel supply in Sasolburg and Secunda in 1980, yet you claim they played no part? Why do you bring up Angola? MK had training facilities in Angola, but it's operational ground was inside South Africa and the immediate countries neighbouring SA: Swaziland, Lesotho, Mozambique and Botswana. They were highly trained and successful in bringing the minority regime of the foreign Cape Dutch descendants to it's knees in conjunction with the highly successful political campaing of the ANC on the international stage. Regarding "terrorism": I'm sure you are confusing the MK liberation army which engaged in a popular, democratic uprising against illegitimate minority rule with the security forces of the minority regime, who protected the pariah apartheid state by engaging in state terrorism against civilians (see the history of Vlakplaas and Eugene De Kock for example, the PEBCO 3 case, the Cradock Four case, the murder of Steve Biko and countless more atrocities against defenseless civilians).

Look at the definition of a freedom fighter and the definition of terrorists. Then decide what MK were. "Freedom" means being allowed to do what you want. ANC were not interested in freedom, only in gaining power for themselves. That is why they attacked and killed tens of thousands of black people opposed to the ANC. People interested in freedom would not kave killed those people. So therefore MK/ANC were not fighting for freedom and were therefore not "freedom fighters". What are terrorists? Terrorists are people that use terror to achieve power and their political goals. The ANC/MK were never shy to kill people opposed to their political goals and to obtain power. Therefore we can say they were terrorists.

Mandela didn't choose peace. Don't be a sheep. He was in prison for murder, of which he pled guilty to. The ANC forced their way into apartheid land, which belonged to european whites from the first settlements , prior to the zulu invasion, which killed and displaced many black africans. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4GniWZjhtCrbLs

Unfortunately I'm not an ignorant sheep like you. I know do not ignore the crimes of Mandela as he was merely fighting violence with violence. And none of that communist nonsense mean anything to me because it was all cold war propaganda. Communist isn't a bad word to me, to sheeple like yourself it might be, but my brain is free enough to understand and make my own mind up about things- AFTER CONSIDERING ALL THE INFORMATION. So Mandela is peaceful. FARRRR more peaceful than your Apartheid buddies that wanted to kill Blacks.
@pikespeak3613 жыл бұрын
@@lu881 FIRST OF ALL, STOP REMOVING THESE COMMENTS KZbin, OR ANYONE ELSE TRYING TO CONCEAL TRUTH. Mandela was a terrorist with demands. You can clearly see it in the video you provided. Those apartheid lands were european settled before the zulu reached the coast. The zulu subjugated other africans. Mandela and the ANC demanded entry into other's land that was not theirs. I DO NOT SUPPORT COLONIZATION, BY WHITES OR BLACKS. But that's what the ANC did: they colonized boer and british lands, which were just as native to those whites as the african nations. This peaceful, integrated land is now one of the most dangerous places on earth, for blacks and whites. The USSR benefitted from ignorance and helped mugabe and mandela achieve their aims, as useful idiots. Communism isn't just propaganda: it's 20,000 dead in zimbabwe as a small blip on the map of south african atrocities committed by africans on other africans. Communism should mean something to you, because russian weapons were used by africans to kill africans.
