Encapsulated Glitter & Mylar Nails

Hiya Duck! In today's video, we are going to be doing nails for a former banger car racer!
I'll start by sculpting out a set of ballerina-shaped nails but we are going to have some smile lines we are using the colour strip tease for our nude today and the Brush is Oscar the wild
I'll create a smile line using the mysterious “gorgeous turquoise with shimmer” and ill place some mylar and glitter into that while it's still wet and then we can encapsulate that with clear acrylic powder
Now ill use a nice bright pink on the pinky and ill put some of the strip tease in the cuticle area and ill ombre that down
Now we can go back into our mylar and glitter and apply that to the pinky and then ill cap that in the Glass slipper
On one of my smile lines ill place a little bit of white lightning at that smile line then I can put some of the turquoise powder at the free edge and then ill place some mylar and glitter over the turquoise and then I can cap that in the glass slipper
On another of the smile lines I can place some of this beautiful pink at the smile line and then once again I can place the mylar and glitter and then I can cap that with the glass slipper.
I'll place some white lightning at the free edge of the turquoise nail then ill put some glitter at the free edge of that and then ill encapsulate that.
Then ill file those into shape ill add some crystals and give them a topcoat and that’s it!

In the U.S., this is called Demolition Derby.

I looked it up and it actually seems like it's a cross between demo derby and stock car racing! In banger racing, they race laps around a track and are allowed/encouraged to smash into other cars to get ahead, with the winner being the first to cross the finish line after however many laps, where in demolition derby you don't run laps, you just smash into each other and last car running wins. I guess sometimes they have a demo derby after the main banger race, but it's a separate event. Honestly, I'm kinda shocked we don't have that here in the US, it sounds like fun!

This is some skill-full acrylic work wow I tried a acrylic set (Amazon) at home practicing on anyone who would let me, it’s so hard, this was years ago when I was younger before KZbin maybe I might try again! Amazing work!

Kirsty, I’d LOVE it if you could do a video on how to save time/speed up with gel clients. I’m an old school acrylic tech but I’ve tried to get “down with the kidz” and get into gel 😜😂 I’m actually not too bad but it takes me bloody AGES. I just can’t seem to get myself into a rhythm. I know most of it is just practice but I’d love it if you could do a general “time saving” video and put any gel time savers you know of in it 🥰💅🏻

Now THIS is how you do a proper voiceover video! It's a good thing my nose is bothered by the smell of monomer, because I've already spent an obscene amount of money on KM brand gel and acrygel (and the shipping to get all those shipments to the US🥲) that I don't need yet another set of products that I obviously have to buy. lol Side note, my name wasn't in the first 25 members and I'd like to lodge a formal complaint. I watch at least 3-4 videos of yours a week and youtube didn't feel it would interest me that you had opened memberships. lol so maybe I'll lodge that complaint with youtube's algorithm. 🤣🤣
