According to the Ars Nouveax book, you only need Source to kickstart the portal, once it's been established it doesn't need any further Source

I would have also looked into using an ender relay. They act on the source energy/fuel similarly to an ender chest, balanced with some of that resource bleeding out of the system, with that loss increasing proportionally past the fifteen-block range of the more standard relays.

With the Ars portals, if you build them underground or part of a larger building, you can build behind the portal a replica of the portal's target, so when you're looking through the portal, it gives the illusion of actually looking _through_ the portal. Its also the most immersive way to differentiate portals in a portal hub.

Building ideas: Observatory (if astral sorcery is in pack) Library (maybe for iron spells and spell books?) Stepped pyramid (for the blood magic altar) Aviary (if there are owls in the pack).

Here's an idea. What's one thing many wizards or magical buildings and institutions have? That's it, a library, where all their mystical tomes and grimories are kept safe from the wrong hands. Gotta keep that extra special magic hidden away. It might not be necessary, but after while why not turn the compound into a magical school?

So yeah, watching late, but my two cents. 1. If you keep dying to bosses, I recommend finding the Crystal Heart accessory from the Artifacts mod, which immediately gives you 5 extra hearts (mine did anyway) and then go about creating the Heart Amulet from Baubley Heart Canisters mod, and filling it with more heart canisters to fill your HP up by (it seems) 40 more hearts. There's also a special one that acts as a totem of undying, and also a thread in Ars Nouveau that does something similar. (I got the crystal heart as a drop, not by using the loot fabricator that shows up in JEI, so I'm gonna lean on it being dropped by a mimic. Just hunt for Loot chests in big caverns) 2. As others have said, you only need a jar of source to open a portal, not a constant supply. Further, I think it's SUPPOSED to have the end portal texture, but yours doesn't seem to be working, shaders are breaking it, perhaps. 3. Since you've delved into Occultism now, you can craft the Soul Gem, which works like a mob yoinker, but with no XP needs, and no banned mobs. 4. If you want another boss to fight, look for a large modded Ocean Temple full of Deeplings and Lionfish, there's a Leviathan inside with a very cool hookshot drop.

I think it would be a cool idea to add a handful of micro builds around the compound. A statue, fountain, bushes, travelling sales cart, paths, and light sources. It might be a bit early, cave entrance, ect. Small things like help make it all seem cohesive !

Another option you can use for returning home, or going to your Waystones is a Warpgem for the @Waystones mod. I saw it on the bottom of the mods craftables. It lets you return to any of your Waystones from anywhere but iirc it has a cooldown. I remember finding it incredibly useful when I was briefly playing the Vault Hunters mod.

I don’t remember if you added reactive healing to your armor. Ars Nouveax lets you do that. It automatically heals you when you take damage, not sure it can keep up with a boss, but maybe?

You can add Reactive enchant to your chesstplate (or other armor piece). Then you can add parchment with self-heal-augment spell to said piece. It will heal you upon getting hit. Probability of triggering depends on enchantment level.

You don't have enough armor because you made your geomancer's robes with your gold set. If you want to get close to him, I'd guess you need at least netherite level armor to not die instantly. Also, when you're redoing your sword spell: add harm at the beginning. It's more effective to start with a big punch of damage and then have the wither effect. Your harm is very good since it's in your school, so it's beneficial to add it whenever you can.

Sjin, you can easily move Source from one area to another by using a Warp Relay. You connect 2 of them together, and they teleport source.

About the towers they look really lovely... but. First you have already started to add some more green at the bottom of your first tower. Some leaves and vines. But only under the first ring and not forward up. You should add more when you are the nature wizard. Also now with the bridge you have a lovely oppertunity to add waterfalls down to your garden. One or two would look lovely but Im more to just having one of them. If they will lead down into the water you already have in your garden, nothing should be destroyed.

Portals don't need constant source. They only need a jar's worth of source when you first create the portal.

I recommend looking into the armour in Mystical Agriculture because I think that could be tougher than what you currently have

Sjin, the source is only used for the initial setup, you don't need a jar to maintain the portals 😊

I totally disagree, the compound looked odd with one giant tower while everything else was ground level, the new tower neatly balanced that out imo
