turbo mode actually makes inputs smoother in most games, it is most likely the same for this game ( by smoother I mean faster like if you were to mash a button it would do it all of those times )

3:11 we should see how many people made cuphead and then talk about the devs' effort for 2 people i see huge effort put into this huge pretty sure more than 2 people worked on cupheads art alone and they definitely had people just for level design

I think the hate for this game is pretty unjustified considering almost all the issues could be fixed with a fairly simple update. Don't get me wrong, it's baffling that the game released with almost no sound effects and so many glitches, but it looks as if it'll be a fantastic game when it's fixed.

I feel like that it wouldn’t get so much hate if they gave it enough time, I know game development is hard, and time extensive with many games, but the issues here are questionable- such as apparently not even having a save system -so it’s more than just some bugs and audio errors, the game isn’t big rigs level of unfinished but there’s so many issues

There are a few things they did right, but a lot of things they did wrong. If the game will ever succeed, there are some major issues that need to be addressed. 1. The Gameplay I've never played the game, but I've often heard that the gameplay feels clunky. The colored shots and enemies are good ideas but at the moment it doesn't feel natural to switch. The blocking is also a bit odd and has too much of a cooldown. I've also heard that shooting after jumping or blocking takes too long and blocking has too much of a cooldown. 2. Level Design The levels drag on too much. It doesn't really change at all as well, it just repeats the same thing over and over again. The cat tells you it's 50% which really should be a checkpoint. The later levels also have a lack of health and it can be really hard to get through. Most of the levels are random and don't feel like you can learn how to beat it. 3. Story The story feels lackluster. It seems as though they put something together last minute. It's also not clear what the goal is. Are they trying to catch the book? Are they trying to get home? And also what's up with the book? It looks evil and is implied to be evil but it's never really clear. Most of the story gets progressed through simple pictures, which makes the story kind of hard to understand. 4. Sound Design This is a big one, probably the complaint I hear the most. The shooting sound doesn't sound fitting and just sounds way less impactful then it should. The enemies don't make sounds when attacking or being attacked. They also don't have any death sounds, even the bosses have the same issue. And the getting hit sound is so generic. 5. Bosses The bosses feel like you can't adapt. They don't have any patterns you can follow, or openings they give you. It feels like a clutter of attacks and make the game feel too difficult at times. It's complete RNG and there's nothing you can do about it. When the bosses are defeated it also doesn't feel particularly rewarding. It just ends in an instant. However they did some things right. The concept is great, but it was poorly executed. The game didn't get funded all the way and it was only made by two people, so by that standard it's passable. I DO want this game to succeed a lot. The game clearly was rushed and needed more time to be polished. I hope they made enough money from the game to fund some future updates addressing all of these problems because this game has potential to be great. However where they really shine is the actual visuals. The visuals are so well-done. The animations were clearly worked on really hard. It feels like they thought of everything with these animations. For example, the graveyards in the witch boss are animated very nicely. And in this episode you can see the flies that are platforms start struggling when Bobby stands on them. These tiny little details make me want this game to succeed SO MUCH. I just hope they address all the issues so these animations don't go to waste.

Yea, I also don’t get the animation. Earlier trailers or the game had the smoothest animation I’ve ever seen, but it’s choppy in the real deal. It should also tell you what spell you have equipped. I’m pretty sure they’re gonna update the game soon, but the game *can* have potential.
