Counting Edwin Castro, there have been three Billion Dollar jackpots winners in and around Los Angles during the past 12 months. Two other recent Billion Dollar jackpot winners in Florida were within 20 miles of one another. Very unusual considering all the states that participate in the national lotteries.

California, the most populated state has almost 40 million people. The next closest state to that is Texas which has 28 million. Simple math shows that more tickets will be bought there which means more chances of a winner coming from a more populated state. Everyone has the same odds at winning.

@@elfraydoalvarez5915 I'm not so sure about that. Cause I haven't heard of many winners coming from texas I'm guessing cause texas has no state tax which means if I'm not mistaken the winner would keep mostly all of the money if they select cash option.
