Makes absolutely no sense to use lead acid batteries nowadays, given the prices of lithium batteries. Instead of 5 heavy batteries, I use a single 60V 40Ah battery. Only 9,5 KGS, less than a 12V 40Ah around 11 KGS.

Hi Elmer, each state has different laws and rules ...some have lsv and some have nev and some have neither of these. Before you decide to get something like this you will need to make sure they will comply with your local rules and laws. Hi Jonathan I import these to New Zealand where they qualify as mobility scooters under our laws, just as your scooter qualifies as a pedal assist there.These vids are just me learning the system until I have my own vids to post here. I haven't given too much info in them, other than showing off the scooters abilities.

+Familystore Ross Hi I wasn't sure they would comply there after looking at some of the rules, which seem to differ from place to place. The 3 wheel one has a top speed of 25kph and the 4 wheel one can easily be reduced to 25. Our web site is www.mynv.nz and I would be more than happy to work towards having them in Australia if they are allowed there. We are still in the testing stages here, but so far we have 30k range from 1 set of batteries and 70k for 2 sets.

Hi Rawdy, yes Lithium do fit in these scooters and surely have some advantages like, less weight, faster charging and higher battery density, but they equally come with down sides, like exploding, bursting into flames and premature BMS failure. These are the obvious and well known issues with Lithium, but what you dont see is, the weight saving is also a safety hazzard. The lead weight is part of the design of the scooter and just as a sail boat relies on its heavy base or keel to stop the wind just blowing it over, our scooter also uses this low slung lead weight to provide its stability on inclines and in the wind.

You cannot just drop a lithium-ion battery in place of lead acid one. You also need a charger specifically designed for lithium-ion batteries.

Hi Jessica, im in new zealand so have no idea of legality of these in Singapore and of course the price would depend of freight and duty and import costs etc. Here we use these as enclosed mobility scooters on the footpath, but in other countries they are legal for use on the road as mopeds, but you would have to check your laws.
