Encoder Shootout: vMix SRT vs vMix RTMP

Following your last encode test in December, I raised the option of better NVENC encoder profiles with vMix and they were added in version 27, which also uses a newer version of ffmpeg. I see these test were done last August and expect if you reran you hardware RTMP test with the latest version and a higher NVENC profile you would get much better results (I do using your test file). I don't know if SRT HW encoding was improved, but I expect they will work on it if you can show it falling down in real world usage (they did say they don't find stress test videos representative) It would probably be good to include the used software/firmware versions on your tests since quality can change with new updates.

Very interesting video! I would be interested to see how OBS's RTMP output compares with its SRT output. And CPU usage for both outputs.

Good insight on the processing flow inside vMix. I did see that the software encoding seemed to handle big changes like zooms better, which surprised me. I'll have to poke around some more myself.
