White finish with brass accents, white solid wood blades. Manufactured for Encon by Crompton Greaves between the late 1970s and 1982. This one has a set of 56" wood blades with the Fluer De Lis blade irons.
This fan is also light kit adaptable. when the fan was new, it came with a small plastic dummy switch housing, basically meant to prevent the motor shaft and wires from getting damaged during shipping; you would then remove the dummy switch housing/shipping block and mount either a decorative shaft cap/nipple or a light kit... this one has the decorative nipple.
The High Breeze, as it's essentially known, came in several combinations. 3 or 4-blade, normal or reversible, normal or light kit adaptable. Motors and blades were sold separately; blades came in 42", 48", and 56"; wood or metal; wood blades came in white, teak, or rosewood, with or without cane. Production ceased in 1982 after Crompton Greaves became too expensive for Encon to source from.
Performance is above average. Being an industrial-based spinner, the fan runs more off of speed than blade pitch. For the purpose of testing, I used a Nutone 4-speed wall control rated for 1.5 amps. The speed range is actually pretty decent, the only gripe is that the medium high speed could've been better with this combination.
