Shuyi Luo and Michael Zollweg
In 2011, Michael Zollweg, a lover of reptiles from Germany, came to visit the Guangxi Daguishan Crocodile Lizard National Nature Reserve and made the acquaintance of Shuyi Luo. The crocodile lizard is a very ancient and endangered animal known to very few people. Owing to a shared wish to protect the species, Michael and Shuyi got to know each other and became friends. Ever since the visit in 2011, Michael comes to China every year. With their concerted efforts, crocodile lizards in China now live in better environments, enjoy more medical treatment, and reproduce more. The two of them will continue to work hard to create better lives for crocodile lizards.
