Salaam alaikum. I agree with what this sister is saying about women shouldn't be degraded, though I don't agree with the title of this video. Feminism is already steering Muslim women away from being feminine. Many Muslim women in my area are going for higher education and high paying careers. You might say that sounds great, what's wrong with that? The problem is that most of these women also want to get married and want children. They are in their 30s even 40s, with great paying careers but also in their minds they want to be mothers but no one is marrying them. Also, the majority of Muslim women are completely against the idea of polygyny. So we have so many Muslim women who are older, want to have children and want to find a man who's single at the same age as her and keep him exclusive for herself. So coming back to the title of this video, encouraging women to be leaders. Leadership is a more masculine trait. Women, by nature, are more agreeable than men. That's why women ask for raises/promotions less often than men. And it's fine for women to have some masculine traits and men to have some feminine traits, as long as they balance it out with the opposite traits. But we already have a problem with women being misguided with feminism, and asking them to become MORE masculine is not the solution.
