I am not a fan of the way the CoD series have taken in last 6 years. But I watched the hole series of CoD:G you made. Your commentary was entertaining, so I subscribed. As you pointed out, this is not truly a game, these are blockbuster movies delivered through videogame media. As you said (with a little paraphrase): enjoyable, if you do not expect gaming. In the same way like Dear Esther - it also was not about gaming, yet is was presented as a game. MP is another topic.

Hey, thanks man. It's awesome to know that there are people that actually watched a playthrough of a game they aren't really a fan of because of my commentary. I think people expect maybe a little too much from CoD sometimes. While they aren't perfect, I can honestly say I've played every CoD game since CoD2 and they have been at a consistent level of quality. The argument about what makes a game is interesting because I think I have a different perception on that topic and would be interested in exploring it. Basically I don't really worry about what is and isn't a game, but I look at SHOULD this be a game or would it be better served as another media form: movie, book, tv show or whatever. In CoD's case, I ultimately think it would probably make a more engaging movie, since I feel like you can gather pretty much the same experience that I had with the story by watching me play thru it without playing it yourself. The gameplay element in CoD's story is pretty much inconsequential to the overall story that is presented. Now if you look at a game like Brothers: A Tale of two Sons, then thats a game that ties gameplay and story seamlessly. Sorry for the long winded response! Cheers!
