End Of Arena Essex Era (1978-2018) My thoughts Heartbroken.

Ermm I don't know what to say really ermm.
Its really the End Of The Era at Arena Essex Raceway.
Seeing this photo its really heartbroken and it hurts me alot inside it's like been stab in the back.
So this is the end for me for good. I'm sorry folks.

Never been to Arena Essex but was brought up in the 70s and 80s on F2 on the short circuits of the south west. Seen and enjoyed plenty of yt vids of big fields, action and huge crowds at your place and am amazed it’s come to this. I feel your pain mate, this is part of our upbringing AND our heritage. And this just feels wrong.

R.I.p. areana essex some great times here and it is heartbreaking to know that this brilliant place has to be turned to houses u will be missed so much areana essex so upsetting yes it was abandoned but it should of stayed open or stayed abandoned and shouldn’t be ruined by houses it’s been an end to a amazing era 1978-2018

Gutted, I fancied a trip down memory lane only to find this.... so sad. I as used to go there as a kid in the 80's to watch my dad and big brother race superstox.

It’s sad mate. I guess we hoped it would re open somehow but as they start to tear more down, it becomes more unlikely. Don’t let it spoil your memories, keep them close and let’s hope that something opens up in the area in the near future.

I watched this & although I sympathise with the guy do feel that there is an element of chickens coming home to roost given all the Mk.X Jags & Westies that they wrecked over the years. I know most banger boys were straight but there was always a criminal element. I think it was the ‘last Westie bash’ that saw quite a few much loved classics stolen from peoples garages.
