Undoubtedly Bodos are the real dons of northeast and there are several reasons behind it firstly they are the "sons of Soil" Suniti kumar chatterjee the famous Indian Bengali linguist, educationalist and writer wrote "Bodos(Meches) are the sons of Vishnu" this perhaps proves how old are Bodos,...Actually the infamous "Mlechas" of then Hindu epics like "Mahabharata" and "Ramayana" are none but the Bodos as we know today. Notorious kings of Pragjyotishpura (Assam) like "Narakasura", "Banasura"were Mleche(Bodo). Bodos are devotees of Lord Shiva who is a Tribal deity, we Bodos are also known as "Kiratas" and the Lord Shiva is known as "Kirateshwara" meaning the god of Kiratas even in sanskrit. The only thing is don't ever let us down in our own soil,.
