Both did very little in ruling the empire and devoted all of their time to pleasure and concubines, leaving the empire to rot! Kosem was not any better either. Atike not only caused the burden of guilt on her own self but implicated her brother too with guilt. She told him half truth, n lies actually also threatened to kill herself to a brother that highly adores and values her ! The other sister was presumed to be submissive so he acted accordingly. Although in this particular matter he should’ve considered his mothers advice “U have to consider happiness of Geverhan too” but I guess it did the opposite effect. Since it was coming from Kosem Murad got determined to act against it.

Ibrahim just laid down the truth! In some ways, both Atike and Sultan Murad are similar. They let anger blind them to the point they destroyed their loved ones. If you have a conscience, you will be reminded of your sins everyday for the rest of your life as punishment. If you don’t feel remorse, you’ll keep doing the same thing over and over again until you make a mistake and your enemies kills you or God decides what cruel fate is in store for you. Karma will get you eventually. I liked Kosem at the beginning but as she got older, her personality changed. Power and control is all she cared about so her children suffered one by one and that’s why she was murdered at the end. She was very smart and clever to survive all the plots her enemies set against her but in so doing, she became like them.

One of the most heartless of Kösem and Ahmed's children (talking about in the show) is definitely Atike. She is the most self absorbed of them all, and she doesn't think about how her actions affects others. She literally threatened to kill herself if she didn't get her way, and she also used that to gather sympathy from Silahtar Mustafa.

Here, she was just a selfish silly teenager. Later, when her own mother kills her husband and sister-in -law Farya that she loved, she changes for the better. We later see Atike trying to protect her brothers, raising Farya's orphaned twins with love and doing charity work with conviction. As she matures, she changes for the better, while her family changes for the worst, especially Kosem. After her mother kills her twin brother, Atike takes Murad's orphaned daughter, her niece, and leaves the court to raise her quietly, with love, far from the blood-thirsty court and her power hungry mother.

Why producer made princesses in this series became a weak character? From i know, they're powerful figure in the real history. Two of Kosem's daughter had married several (6 or 7) times like it's not a big deal. They didn't had time to lovey-dovey like potrayed in this series. That's why in this aspect, i like Dilruba (one of the most annoying character). She didn't whinning like other princesses. Everyone who stand in her way are killed, and she did that not for her lover Davud, but her brother Mustafa.

No significant presence in any historical events either. So, Kosem's daughters aren't enlisted in the Sultanate of Women - a name created by.historians where powerful sultanas are named.

Absolutely wrong. Farya found out about Silahtar and Gevherhan first but didn't tell Atike but instead tried to tell her to forget about Silahtar and that maybe he's not the one for her. She never fueled Atike to pursue Silahtar after that and only discouraged her. She even looked scared of what Atike might do in her ambition to get Silahtar and told her so too once. I don't know what people expected her to do? She had no power over Atike to do anything beyond that. You can blame Murad for being foolish enough to give the guy to the wrong sister and then punishing the other one with a marriage she didn't want but what's the reason for blaming Farya in this when she was 100% just in her behavior in this whole situation. If Murad had not given Silahtar to both the sisters or at least not forced Gevherhan into another marriage she didn't want, she may not have taken the extreme step. Note: My comments are only as per what was portrayed in this series. Historically, Gevherhan lived much longer, married to 3 different men one after the other + there's no record of a Princess Farya as Sultan Murad's wife

like I told you up that atike was trully daughter of kosem I´m convicted on 100% that gevherhan was too, and she was the most propably eldest child of kosem born infront of mehmed and ayse 8.3.1605- cortarini ahmed like sehzade sadduced yong concubine name mahpeyker hatun.: cortarini says that when valide handan sultan found out she let whip mahpeyker and expeled from the palace, what is interesting. cortarini in the begining of his letter talked about rule violation. tezcan -mustafa I was born 1603 but propably mystake mehmed sureya scicili osmany- osman II was born according to islamic calendar 15.11.1603. but it would be mystake because he was born 4.11.1604. alderson and necdet sakaoglu- mehmed III had concubine name mahpeyker but propably mystake with kosem. so, who was born in year 1603(15.11): cortarini continue: few days after what he take crown(1603) he want to know about concubine(maheyker) what is with her and if he could bring her back. it ignited more than ever that he learned that he had a child. he let bring her back. cortarini mention that when ahmed take crown in 1603 he had child.and what is interesting is that according to giovanni mocegino "she (kosem) was bring own his own request" it must be mahpeyker who mention cortarini. borekci 9.1.1604 when cerrah mehmed pasha died he name his first born daughter gevherhan. According to the Venetian bailo Ottaviano Bon, in-between his two sons’ births, that is, between November 1604 and March 1605, Ahmed had his firstborn daughter. ASVe, SDC. Filza 61, fol. 19v (dated March 14, 1605). Although the names of two of Ahmed’s (at least) five daughters, Gevherhan and Ayşe, are known, their exact birth dates remain unclear. according to marked ahmed had in march 14 two sons and five daughters. only two of them gevherhan and ayse (daughters of kosem are known, another three daughter were from less important concubines. only reason why gevherhan and ayse were known is that theyre were daughter of kosem. while history of palace says that ayse was born as a twin sehzade mehmed 8.3.1605 gevherhan must born infront of her. To illogical Farya haters. Farya found out about Silahtar and Gevherhan first but didn't tell Atike and instead tried to tell her to forget about Silahtar and that maybe he's not the one for her. She never fueled Atike to pursue Silahtar after that and only discouraged her. She even looked scared of what Atike might do in her ambition to get Silahtar and told her so too once. I don't know what people expected her to do? She had no power over Atike to do anything beyond that. You can blame Murad for being foolish enough to give the guy to the wrong sister and then punishing the other one with a marriage she didn't want but what's the reason for blaming Farya in this when she was 100% just in her behavior in this whole situation. If Murad had not given Silahtar to both the sisters or at least not forced Gevherhan into another marriage she didn't want, she may not have taken the extreme step. Note: My comments are only as per what was portrayed in this series. Historically, Gevherhan lived much longer, married to 3 different men one after the other + there's no record of a Princess Farya as Sultan Murad's wife
