That shrub is listed as an invasive species native to Micro-nesia. The Spanish introduced them to everyplace that they explored along with pigs, chickens, goats, etc. That way they could harvest an animal and cook dinner without having to build a fire. Fish & Wildlife considers them "Non-Threatening" since they like using them for their Ramon noodles.

Glad your doing better. That black tent must force him to get up early before it starts cooking LOL. I'm doing my annual (starting this year) camping trip with my parents on Monday. I got my little one person tent with a blow up / roll out matress to sleep on. My parents have a big A Frame camper to hang out in in case it rains. My dad is making a trip back to their house to pickup his boat so we can go fishing It's gonna be nice because everyone else is gonna be in school and work which is why my parents go camping on Monday and leave Friday morning. They are not very social at camping
