C Em F G C Em F G F G C to Am F G C G Verses F G C to Am F G C C7 F G C to Am F G C G Chorus I heard sirens scream out into the night I saw missiles leaving streaks of light , I saw balls of fire growing higher and higher, can't help wonder if this is the end of times, I heard the people shout , all trying to get out , as the building's fell , like a scene from hell. And the children crying, as their families lay dying , just before an eerie silence fell. How all those wretched screams have started to haunt my dreams, as this horror story is slowly unfurled , until my radio alarm greets a brand new dawn and Satchmo sings what a wonderful world. I'll never understand i'm just an average man , trying to do right for my own family , but there is so much pain caused by political games , how long I wonder before this happens to me. When will my silent night be lit up by missile strikes , and clouds of ash start falling from the sky, will I be the one that's dying, listening to my own children crying, all of us asking the same question, why? How all these wretched screams have started to haunt my dreams, as this horror story is slowly unfurled , until my radio alarm greets a brand new dawn and Satchmo sings what a wonderful world. There are no trees of green.

It's not just there, it's everywhere. In every continent, in every country, and everywhere on earth. A kind of contagious madness of myopic vision without thinking about the future. And if a person tries to ask: "How will this help our child's future?" He is immediately declared as one who opposes the general cause and for the agitated masses, he is in fact a traitor. Albert Einstein said: "The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it". But I see that the situation made people stand up and do: spread truth, spread connection, spread faith in my ability to think independently, spread harmony, spread inclusion, spread listening, and overall, teach (or maybe remind) people how to be human again.

Wow! How relevant this song is to what’s happening in the world right now but what also seems to have happened for countless yesterdays. They say if you don’t learn from history you’re doomed to repeat it. Sadly, it’s apparent the powers that be are quite dense as countries around the world have been repeating history over and over again. When will they smarten up and let there be peace?

Wow! I am just sitting here in awe but I also have such a sad demeanour at the same time with the thought that it's just so terrible that this is such an honest truth in these times we are living in. This is a sad reminder that while some of us (who aren't living in war-torn places) feel safe and secure, there are many people who don't have that same security and to them it is as if they are living in hell. Beautiful song that really causes you to look at things from painful standpoint. Well done.
