Out of all the homeschool mom channels, I relate to you the most. I trust your advice and am trying out a few things you do such as night zookeeper🌙, the good and the beautiful language arts 🎨 and the little hearts science, and not consumed bible studies sound amazing. For history, we do sonlight and we love it! I am getting geared up for next year schooling my 4 year old, 3rd, 6th and 7th grade kiddos!

I am loving making my way through your videos! All your information is so helpful. I was wondering if you’ve done or if you can do a post on how you record keep? If you have a system you use to keep track of your kids academic accomplishments and grades, so that when they do reach college age they have credible information to present? I am super new to this so bare with me while I scratch the surface and possibly ask questions on many of your videos 😉

@firecrackerninja08 Жыл бұрын
I am NOT a math brained student. I often do just the lecture one day and then do the practice set the next. The lectures are supposed to be 15-20 minutes however in Algebra 1 (at least so far, I'm on lesson 23) they are often more like 30 minutes+ which makes doing a lesson of math take super long.
@jamieclayton3026 Жыл бұрын
My daughter was in 10th grade this year and struggles with math. I let her go at her pace- while keeping her consistent. She really likes Shormann. She took 2 years to compete the Alg 1 which includes half credit geometry. I definitely recommend for kids that aren’t strong in math

Hey Ashlee great video, as always. I recently tried BFB this year as well and was sadly disappointed. But I am wondering where you have older children taking more online classes, what do you prefer for your high schoolers to have an iPad, laptop or desktop? We are looking into needing to get another device soon so where you have already traveled that road I would love your input. Maybe it’s too long to comment back so feel free to make a video maybe more people could benefit from that as well. 🤔🤷🏼♀️

I ordered myself the parent guides for all 9 of the Not Consumed studies we bought this year 😅 and they were not what I expected. They are not parent guide through the study your children are doing, like they don’t break down the days lesson, add discussion questions, etc…. They are actually the same study for the parent. Much like from the junior to teen studies they are similar but with slightly different wording etc that’s how the parent one is. I found myself not even using it during our first study because it wasn’t something we were doing together, it was just my own Bible study. It made more sense for me to look at his study and walkthrough it with him. I hope that makes sense. I LOVE the company and their product, but the name “parent guide” is a little misleading, it should just be labeled as the parent study. I also do not think they are useless necessarily, a parent could definitely order them to be learning about the same things as their children alongside them, but I am always doing my own studying on the side and just didn’t them personally. Just thought I would give you a heads up if you were planning on buying parent guides for the upcoming school year!

Hi Ashlee. We used Shormann Math for our daughter in grade 7 this year based off your recommendation, we've loved it so thank you for that. I am wondering though how long approximately it takes your kids that have done pre-algebra?
