Ordinary Relisting does not work well. Relisting via ‚Sell similar‘ on the other hand works very well… at least for me. I do it every morning for every item that hits the ripe age of 90 days 🌸

I also end and sell similar 10 oldest listings each day. I find it helps.

I find it easier to end a set of listings then go to Unsold as I clear this selection after I've finished and then select each one and Sell Similar, possible tweak the description or cost or postage and then list it, delete the original unsold item and move onto the next one, takes a couple of minutes, I do that generally once a week and it definitely seems to help move some stock
@stefan83036 ай бұрын
Relisting leaves your listing rank where it is with the same item number. So if it's dropped over time it likely won't make much difference. It's good if you have made a mistake and want to update prices, new photos etc and you keep the watchers - However, I believe sell similar works far better, you lose watchers but it's getting properly relisted and you'll appear top of search again with a new item number. Just remember once you done a sell similar re-list to delete from the unsolds.

Like many other commenters, I end and 'sell similar' 5 listings every day. The only listings I exclude are multi quantity listings with recent sales history. I have one listing that has been running for 7 years and still sells one or two units every week. That one started with around 1,200 and is now down to about 50 or 60 (I need to do a stock count soon!). I take a couple of minutes to review the price, check for any missing item specifics and generally look out for any errors. It's surprising how many obvious errors creep in when in 'auto-pilot' late night listing sessions: title and description not matching, wrong photos, wrong weights etc etc. It's difficult to say definitively that this process helps sales--there are just too many variables at play--but I regularly see items selling that have sat unviewed for months so it certainly doesn't seem to do any harm and picking up the odd errors makes it worthwhile anyway!

I noticed that you selected RELIST. Ending and relisting doesn't assign a new Ebay number. You have to END and SELL SIMILAR to make it a brand new listing that is fresh to Ebay. I then just cut and paste the new Ebay listing number over the top of the old one in List Perfectly.

gotta do "sell similar" not just "relist" to get the benefits of a new listing in eBay

I’m a end and sell similar daily fan. Anything that’s ending on that day without any interest gets ended and tweaked to sell similar. Even if, actually particularly if it’s been up 30 days. Bulk end, go to unsold and edit in batches. I appreciate its rare for your items to have zero traffic though.

End and sell similar absolutely helps. If I'm not getting any sales I do it. It seems to only last for a few days sales taper pretty fast again. If you tried everything else it's worth doing it to get a boost if even for a couple days. It does refresh your old listings.
@JKsCardShack6 ай бұрын
I think the sell similar is better than having a sale. I do five items every morning and it has helped. But I sort mine by ending soonest, not by oldest. That way the refresh rate is 30 days.

List perfectly has an option in settings where it finds dead links. You click it and it automatically searches and lets you link to the new listing.

Lonnie and Candace I've been doing end/sell similar for about a year now. Usually I get one or two sales everytime I do this end/ sell similar. (Not Relist) Its just one of the things I try to generate sales.

I wanted to let you know that I got some USPS intel today from my postal guy. Apparently there is going to be rate increases on shipping in mid July and it sounds like it’s going to be big increases. He said ground is going up by $2, priority is going up too. Stamps are going up to 75 cents and international stamps $3. Take it for what it’s worth, it hasn’t been made public yet.

An easier way to do this is,1)end items, 2) go to ended items list, 3) Select items you want to relist, 4) click the sell similar button, this brings up the editing screen with all this listings, you can change titles and prices without going into each item, 5) once you've made all your changes, submit all. 6) Go to active items, sort by start date, items just listed have a LINK button in green 7) click the link button, if on List Perfectly, the listing will show up, just click it and now the new listing number is updated.

Marking Boxes: when I mark a box to pre-pack or shelf, I do write a better description. I just write in Sharpie on a 3x3” Post-it Note and tape it (with a vertical piece of clear tap) on the tape closing the box. Then when I’m ready to ship I slice the post-it off, leaving no info.

I’ll also write Ready To Mail on the sticky so I don’t have to rely on my memory, especially for long tail items.

Hope you clicked sell similar and not relist Lonnie?
@princeofdorne34156 ай бұрын
It does work! If you do this it moves your items to the top of the search results for that item! Its more or less a "Refresh"! Problem is you have to do it often as possible for it to continue to show results! You must Sell as Similar and you have to make a small change to the listings as you go! Its optional for resellers that have 1000 -2000 items listed. Its important to resellers that have 500-1000 items listed! Its Mandatory for resellers that have 100-500 items!

I do the end and list similar of items that have no views or watchers in the past 30 days. The only difference is I schedule the listings for different times thru out the week.

There is a link button on items after you do end and sell similar. It is just a click of a button to get them linked back.

Make sure new sellers who is watching understand that are on selling limits if they sell similar it will take a listing and their dollar amount 😉 some new sellers don't know 😊

Hello i have seen some sellers over there do nuclear relists where they end and sell similar all of their items in one go that seems to work for them. I use end and sell similar slightly different to the way you do it ,i end my items i want to sell similar the night before (some one said you need the listings to be dead for over two hours) then first thing the next day set times for the items to restart ,in my opinion this will get different people looking at my items at different times of the day ,i do 30 items a day and i have found that about 80-90% of my sales have been from sell similar items. I am not sure if you have to pay a charge to select a time over there but it is free in the uk.

Hey Candace and Lonnie, I have heard y’all talk about if you receive an offer on eBay and you accept, that eBay has started making the customer have payment right then so the seller gets paid when you accept. Has that started yet or is that coming in the future? Reason I ask is I have a sale that I accepted the offer 2 days ago and haven’t received payment yet. Thanks and have a great day. Bill😀

I see so many other resellers saying they do this and swearing by it. I though y'all had tried it maybe a year or so ago and didn't see much from trying it. I've tried it but never really saw any results that could be directly attributed to it.
@TravisInDallas6 ай бұрын
I was wondering if people actually experimented with it. Trying different things like just editing something, changing price, change shipping, relist and sell similar. I tend to think people hear "Delist/Sell Similar" they do it once they get a couple sales and say that was it, but was it really? Maybe it was just because they were active on the site. 🤷

The only luck I've ever had was delisting my entire store and selling similar. It worked to some degree but it's not the panacea to great sales.
