This is an incredible park. Although, my style doesn't include much realism, more creativity, (no pun intended) haha, I always appreciate good realism when I see it. Lucari Cellere definitely should get promoted for this park alone. He's definitely got a ton of potential in this game, and this shows it. Amazing work and park. I've taken a few notes myself from what I've seen in his video

I’ve been playing planet coaster since early 2019 and at the start of this year began working on a new park. I would myself spent a lot of time on it and focus on putting in more detail and scenery around rides and paths, but I watch this and I am now completely blown away. I am floored and overwhelmed especially with that insane amount of time you spend in detailing and filling all of those remaining gaps. I haven’t worked much on my new park due to constrains on my current computer system which I will be doing away with and replacing with an upgrade later this year. I’m also quite stuck with it although I have ideas, but especially considering this was the creator’s first park he has been truly gifted to have such creative mind and talent. It really demonstrates how much time and care went into this big project over those months. This masterpiece should be a great point of inspiration for newer park builders. Loved it.

Thank you so much for this wonderful comment. Inspiring others is always my number 1 goal. While it may not be the best park ever hopefully it offers enough ideas for others to keep going with their parks. It took me hours of finding references and planning. I was overwhelmed at first but once I set myself a few goals per area it got a lot easier. :) Best of luck to you and your park project!

@@luckycreativity0812 thanks for your reply! I recently downloaded your park as a way to get ideas for me to continue working on my new park (which probably won’t be finished until later this year as I am also hooked on other projects). My i7-9700k based RX 580 system is only able to run your park at a dismal 12FPS on the lowest settings, and am also bothered by low FPS in the one that I am working on, which kinda demotivates me to continue. Definitely looking at getting a new PC later this year and the performance uplift should will be massive. But hopefully once my park is eventually completed it will certainly look gorgeous. While it won’t be as detailed as yours, sometimes less is more and it should still stand out pretty nicely. Of course everyone’s style is different and there isn’t any such thing as “the best park”, only parks that stand out in a unique way, like yours. P.S. It’s honestly great that you are active on this channel and replying to other viewers comments. Not many creators are this way and it really does further set an example of how professional you are😊

@@luckycreativity0812 yeah, forgot to mention that the game was actually paused at 12FPS but when unpaused it was like 7FPS, so I think pausing the game does help a bit. Problem is you aren’t able to ride the rides without smooth gameplay but i guess it’s still manageable.

@luckycreativity0812
@luckycreativity0812 Жыл бұрын
hey there! Trust me, I was definitely burned out once or twice while building this. All I can tell you is to have a strong plan. What is it that you want to build? How big should it be? What do I need to pull it off? Where can I find references? In my case I knew I wanted to build a mega park with 6 distinct areas, each one with a maximum of 30k pieces, 2-3 flatrides, 2 coasters and a plaza. With that in mind I had a clear gameplan. I then placed those rides in different corners of the different areas to get a rough idea on size. It made everything a lot easier to set up. If you go in completely blind I understand why you'd get overwhelmed. And you don't have to build anything of this magnitude. Start small and I am sure you can pull it off! In terms of what to build, check out Park Walkthroughs of your local theme park. For me it was Phantasialand and Europapark. It's all about references! I am sure you can pull it off and good luck! :)

44:40 That's not true. TMTK have LOD as well. Or can have. BUT the creator has to predefine them and some are super lazy and don't do it. That's the problem, Jonny you once should create a tmtk ;) . Nevertheless. There is not a huge performance difference usually with a decent GPU. Some Planco pieces are even worse than a lot of the tmtk. At the end it all comes back to the amount of pieces. Like always in this game. And yes the park will run better because a lot of pieces are missing. My 50 cent: Most tmtk are created really good including LOD but there are of course items which will affect performance when used to often. But the same is for some planco ingame pieces as well. But what is really bad implemented is the ingame download of items. But thankfully Lucky did a tmtk collection. GUYS ALWAYS do a collection .. !! And for the rest. Read the workshop page and don't complain if there was a collection but you simply did not read the description... Damn why am I so salty about this. ... Jonny love your vids. You know that and great tour so far 😍. And yepp there was a little "here" link to the custom media 🙃

Oddly enough that doesn't help too much. The main FPS hit is guest AI simulation, and with zero guests in the park we eliminated the worst culprit. There is sort of a "critical mass" point with planet coaster. Once you go beyond a certain point, the game just tanks. It is the responsibility of the creators to learn that key balancing point while designing a park, and try not to go beyond that. The developers even said early on, "We gave you large maps so you can give you parks breathing room. We do not intend for people to fully fill them "end to end" because the engine cannot handle that." However, when you give players that option. Some of them will take it! With that said, it would be a real shame NOT to experience this park. Because it is truly incredible that this was accomplished. But I much prefer when builders learn when to make awesome parks within the constraints of the engine itself. Might be less of an issue with the upcoming Park Beyond game. Because Unreal Engine 5 can handle a lot more assets before lose of FPS. Im super interested to find out how far we can push that game!

Where does this obsession with big car parks come from?
@Channel5Gaming
@Channel5Gaming Жыл бұрын
hahaha I know right!? I've learned to except the fact that people love building them and including them in their parks. But my personal thoughts on them are: -They take up precious performance that the games engine already struggles to achieve. -They take up precious SPACE which the game has a limited map size -They often feel awkward when the parking lot is empty & the park itself is also empty All that said. I think they are a nice touch of realism is you strike the proper balance of actually filling the parking lot with cars. Have guests wandering to and from said parks cars. And the parking lot itself isn't overly invasive in comparison to the size of the park. It's a tough balacing act, but ive seen some worthy parking lots. LOL

Always makes me chuckle when people ask this. MAkes me assume the question is related to the lag. I assure you, the lag is not the fault of my PC but rather the game engine limitations. You are forgiven. PC Specs are listed in the about sections of my channel. I'll post them here: PC SPECS CPU - i9-9900k 3.6GHZ GPU - GTX 1080 TI RAM - 32GB 970 EVO Plus V-NAND SSD While my GPU is slowly getting outdated by the 20 & 30 nvidea series. 1080ti still out performs 2070's, and keeps up with 2080's. The 30 series does add some extra performance and power, but it really only needs that extra power for its new selling point / feature "ray tracing". Ray tracing is a HOG on performance and therefore the card needs to be extra powerful! However, planet coaster does not have raytracing, and my GPU isn't even capped when running a laggy park like this. Most of the games performance actually runs off the CPU, and the i9-9900 is a very powerful CPU. I have not yet ran into a game that requires me to have a BETTER Cpu. -Cheers :)
@Batch1
@Batch1 Жыл бұрын
@@Channel5Gaming Only planet coaster is forcing you to buy new CPUs. (If for mega Parks and if you have a decent GPU, best one with more than 14GB of VRAM. Planco uses sometimes even up to 15GB. I measured it.) The performance gains from changing your CPU are enormous in this game. I tested it with a Intel 9900K an AMD 5800X and a 13900K. I got everytime 40 to 60% more performance .. depends on the park in average I would say more in the direction of 40%. With a 13900K it's even possible to run Galcians Land of Super Zaiden with guests and a (for planco) OK framerate.

@@Channel5Gaming Nooo it was actually the opposite! I was running an RX 580 with a Ryzen 1400 for the past few years and it's been fine for building my own simple parks but any time I'd try and load up a park like this it was basically a slide show. I've always been impressed with how smoothly PC runs for you compared to me and was just curious. I actually just got a 1080 TI last week and I have a Ryzen 5600x coming in the next few weeks. I'm not a spec snob or anything, I was just curious.

Hey there Heather, thank you for your comment and the honest criticism. That is always something I very much appreciate! While I agree with you, you have to keep in mind that all of the custom music was missing in this spotlight (I had about 6-7 custom songs, mainly in the vintage american and viking zone) so it feels even more quiet than it already was. If you are talking about functionality then yes, everything is connected with proper rest- and staff rooms placed all over the park. There may be some issues with peeps walking through walls as I didn't place any extra barriers. However I built this park not to play it and it is more like a model train set if that makes sense. Especially with the lag of frames it is more like a park you can walkthrough and enjoy the experience and not see thousands of guests walking about
