There are 'comedians' whom I really like to hear talk, Carlin is one of them. He did comedy in it's purest form. I just hoped people would not be so fucking blind to the information available nowadays. So much stuff available and yet most of us learn from the shittiest stuff. Instead of watching news I'd rather watch this, old school music, other type of information channels, mostly related to philosophy, life and nature/animals, and the feeling is hard to explain: you kinda feel more at peace with yourself and feel better, while most look at you crazy for being different. If you feel you got the 'intelligence' and determination for it, search for knowledge. Being open minded and searching for your own path and knowledge is against most of today's societies.

Smartphones at least serve a purpose beyond just recording. I could definitely see him complaining about the pervasiveness of modern technology but I doubt he'd put smartphones on the same level as fucking camcorders. I don't know how he'd feel about Snapchat. On the one hand the pic disappears after you view it so it's very in-the-moment, and it's primarily used for sexting so I doubt he'd have a problem with that. On the other hand, it sort of adds to the shortening attention span of modern times. I think he'd be more likely to make fun of Instagram, which has essentially become the new way of taking pictures of anything and everything.

Big Mozzarella Almost like we aren’t special and every generation places blame on the two generations before it. Do the best they can and then eventually they will be the generation being told they didn’t do enough. Especially since every generation has had better medical advancements than the ones before it causing them to stay in the workforce longer. As we begin to live longer we also work longer careers, so people aren’t retiring and “getting out of the way “ for the generation below them to ascend as high as they did until later in their respective careers. It’s happened long enough now for where there’s natural order of when people enter and leave the workforce has skipped a beat and there is a log jam at the top.

@@dr.cheeze5382 I have changed over the last 10 years or so . I now have zero trust in our politicians , big news media , big pharma , scientists ,and billionaires who control us , etc. As George said, F the politicians and stay home (or go fishing as I do) during voting day ! Some of his jokes give pleasure, since they express our own hidden indignation. His opinion about elections is really ignorant though. If less people vote, that would lead a country toward less freedom.

It's common sense. 95% of people are just selfish and ignorant. It's not that hard to predict that things will go wrong. Just the public is a group of groupthinkers with no individuals

"Doesn't anyone in this country just stop and look at things anymore? Sort of take them in? Maybe even... remember them? Is that such a strange notion? Does experience have to be documented and brought home and saved on a shelf? And do people really watch this shit? Are people's lives so bankrupt they sit at home looking at things they already did?" - George Carlin in 1996 long before the first camera phone or social media.
@blueeyedchaz74686 жыл бұрын
that was funny however, due to an accident in the military I had a severe brain injury and my memory has been compromised so I have to "document, brought home and save on a shelf," to revisit things that I can't remember. But still funny as hell and if one can't laugh at himself well get off of life lol

He didn't. America's K12 public education had made most American people idiots. Moreover, almost all American people's brains are full of ideology, which is extremely stupid. So most American people are just idiots with washed brains, but they think that they are the leaders (of the world). This country has no future.
