Never had any of those issues. Cut scenes played and bosses never stopped. I did have a weird graphical glitch, which was probably due to my laptop sucking, where every character looked like they were trapped between dimensions, even lily herself. But loved the game so much it didn’t even bother me

Yeah it was certainly odd. The PC I'm currently using is equipped with a 3900x and a 2080 Super, so. Keep in mind the footage and review was based on the state of the game when access was given to us, so its very likely some of the issues we encountered may already be fixed. -Bryan

I see a game that mixes Super Metroid and Dark Souls, I buy it. But I wanted to know more about the character progression system, if it's only related to finding upgrades on the map or not.

Game has been finished, most if not all of the issues noted here are fixed, and I'd say it's definitely worth your time. Perhaps unfortunately, you probably won't see the usual suspects making videos about this game, because unlike hollow knight or the souls games, the plot is pretty straightforward for anyone that's finished the game.

Does soul-game stand for impossible controlls so it's very hard to play and a very hard game to play and no easy mode? Then I'm not interested, I'm not against a challenge, but souls-games are for pro's with no life, I have a life beyond games.

The game's not exactly hard, just incredibly obnoxious. Spammy projectiles all over, an extremely clunky dodge. Attacks root you in place. It's just a misery to play.

Dark Souls single-handedly ruined gaming. No other developers know how to make something "souls-like" without it just being anti-fun and irritating to play. And yet so many developers want to, especially because of the modern gaming culture where whether or not a game is """""""""""""too easy"""""""""""" (which means you don't have to die dozens of time to complete it) is an important element in a game's success. This game could've been good, but it's totally unplayable. Every single encounter is specifically designed to irritate you for no good reason other than creating the illusion of difficulty. That itself is undermined by the fact that death is MEANINGLESS. Die and start 2 screens away and walk right back to where you were, no big deal. The problem is that every single monster in the game is a nuisance, and your abilities are ABYSMAL. The fact that Lily freezes in place when attacking mid-air is unacceptable. The combat is based around abusing the big i-frames you get from her dash. The problem is every fight is designed to fuck with you if you don't dodge JUST right. Eleine for example summons this irritating red tornado and because of the hilariously way-too-long dodge distance, if you try to dodge her magic missiles you'll dodge right into the tornado and take 75% of your HP instantly. Flying enemies are the absolute WORST, they love to stay exactly out of your range and just throw homing shots at you constantly. It is seriously infuriating. I'm sure a lot of these problems get better later on but the early game of Ender Lilies is so poorly designed I simply couldn't stomach it. What an overrated pile of garbage.

I'm 13 hours in and having a blast. It just seems like you need to learn boss movesets during different phases. Elaine locks onto you when she teleports so keep moving or dodging after her second shot. And your i-frames work when you dodge towards the wall, or be up against it and dodge towards the tornado so you don't hit it. And you don't have to clear flying enemies to progress. You can dodge through their attacks or walk past them.
