Ender Wiggin tribute - Broken Heart of Gold (Ender's Game FMV)

To be honest, it's quite ridiculous, that I've never done an Ender's Game FMV before. The book is one of my biggest favourites, and my channel (and my blog) is literally named after it. I also like the movie - I don't find it a perfect adaptation, quite far from it actually, but Asa Butterfield did and amazing job as Ender, and I really enjoyed it.
But I also realised, that I never actually found a song, that fitted the character enought to make a tribute... until now. As you know (if you saw my Saito Hajime tribute), I am a huge fan of the Kenshin movies as well, and when I heard the theme song for "The Beginning", I really loved it... and soon realised, that it is actually a perfect tribute song for Ender. It fits both to his darker side, his agressivity and genius, and his more empathetic, loving and vulnerable personality traits as well. It also kind of shows as a character tries to run away from something, just "quit" from his life, when it becomes "too painful", but ultimately ends up with a good but broken heart - this resembles Ender's struggle through the first book quite well.
I also tried to edit the movie in a way that brings the story closer to the book. I incorporated the mind game parts to several scenes, where Ender tries to make a connection, tries to see the bigger picture in time (even if he fails in the end). I also tried to show his relationship with his siblings, Valentine, symbolizing love and hope, and Peter, symbolizing that mentioned, more agressive darker side. I hope I did a good job, and you will enjoy it.
As always, I do not own the movie, nor the song (It's Broken Heart of Gold from One Ok Rock), I only edited this for fun.
