@@ENDEVRDocs Can we even trust the local farmers? I heard that even the "organic" farmers put some pesticides in their crops. I try gardening and let me tell you, it was hard, fighting diseases, bugs, and having to water constantly and yes, I had to use some kind of "organic" pesticide to keep my plants going. I don't know what the best thing to do anymore. I just want to eat healthy without worrying about the source of my food.

Whenever I ask the shelf packers why a product is out of stock at a well known supermarket where I live, they tell me the suppliers are out of stock. Every Single Time. I shop at this particular store often so the manager knows me. I thought I'd ask him one time why there isn't stock of a particular product and he said the Suppliers Are Out Of Stock. I just laughed. You should talk more about the olive oil. I bought a bottle of olive oil and didn’t realize it was a “blend” of several olive oils, it was not the same taste as real olive oil in cooking. I’m old enough to know and remember how real olive oil tastes in cook.

Realistically, 95% of the extra virgin olive oil you will buy in the US is not extra virgin. much of it is just regular olive oil, a quite a bit of it mixed with cheaper oils.

Nah. Beef is so cheap to produce in the industrialized meat packing industry, using most other meat (including human) would cost far, far more. All these legends about hamburgers containing worms or kangaroo wouldn't make sense. Horse meat is cheaper in some countries, though, so THAT fraud makes sense.

I rarely buy frozen fish, a few years ago I looked at the ingredients in a frozen fish product fished out of Asian waters, it actually labeled formaldehyde and smoke on the packaging.
