Nice work Ross. Definitely worth changing 40+ year old oil!

Thanks. That's what I thought in the end. It took a while to decide.

Great vids. I recently got a ‘74 rubber bumper. It works ok but needs a winter or two of attention. Glad I found your site. Practical info. Keep up the good work! Roland in Montreal, Canada.

Getting my dampers replaced next week, they are an exchange item so the old ones go off for rebuilding. Keep up the good work.

Did you try doing anything with them yourself before sending them away?

@@Endfloat no it was cheaper and quicker to get them excahnged.

@@christaylor3403 that's fair enough. Mine really just needed fresh oil and they were good as new.

Awesome job. Thanks. Maybe I'll do mine now that it looks so easy. I thought it was necessary to remove the cover, but I guess not.

I can't see any reason why you would need to remove the cover. I suppose you might get a little more fluid out, but you could just change the oil twice to be thorough if you were really bothered.

Great Job, think it's a good job to change the oil especially if it's over 40 years old!

Thanks! Yeah that's what my line of thinking was in the end too. Definitely worth doing.

Good job done, might have been interesting to renew oil one damper at a time so you could gauge the difference. Roll on the next video.

I can tell you they're quite a bit smoother in their movement and a little firmer. It'll certainly make a big difference to how the car handles.

It's an excellent piece of kit I have to say. My only gripe is I'd like if the screen was a little bigger cause I don't want to use it with my phone. There's a lot of great features on it though, particularly the wireless mic.
