You’re correct about installing the windscreen. It’s one of the most difficult jobs especially the chrome strips. It’s well worth the price of having an expert do it.

Yeah I really don't think there'll be much fun in that job for me, but I might give it a go. We'll see!

I don't fancy working on a car in the Canadian winter unless it was in a nice heated garage! Hoping to have some more progress on this car soon. I'm just chipping away at it when I get the chance.

Enjoying the videos, just finished stripping my MGB down for sandblasting and kind of dreading the metal work and rust repairs, keen to see how you go with it on yours

Thanks! I think the trick is to not look at the big picture cause you'll only get overwhelmed. I'm just breaking the car down into manageable segments.

Love the sun visors. They ALL look like melted marshmallows draped over coat hangers. Why are they so cheaply made? Even on my pal’s 84 911SC. Amazing.

Really enjoying this series. Keep up the good work. Will your next purchase be an English wheel to make the curves on your repair panels?
@Endfloat3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Nope, I want to keep it to just the basic tools. The average Joe doesn't have an English wheel, and neither will I. I will need to think of some way of forming the complex shapes all the same.

Great progress! Maybe your Buddy that is just standing around can help by at least taking notes where things go. FYI: The smell is from damp carpets and panels from water leaks.

Being a roadster I don't have the same issues. Your's doesn't look too bad. I had to cut the nuts off my wiper spindles was they were completely seized. The dash should come out pretty easy

Do the roadsters not suffer from scuttle rot as much? There were no nuts on my spindles. The wipers were just clipped on.
@stuwhite23373 жыл бұрын
@@Endfloat all the screen frame is alloy so only the horizontal bits can rot. On the spindles, I meant where they come through the scuttle. I took mine off for painting

Another great video Ross,lots done in this one.I know doing the metal work will test you,but I'm confident you'll fix it no bother,and the rust could have been one hell of a lot worse.I'm liking the little production change's in how you're doing the video's,but like another poster mentioned,the music should be toned down a bit.Oh and are you growing that facial hair for Movember?
@Endfloat3 жыл бұрын
Cheers Mick. When I get towards the back of the car, you'll start to see a lot more corrosion. I'll fine tune the music a bit. I don't want it to be too intrusive, but I do think it adds something.

Putting the windscreen back is witchcraft. Professionals like Autoglass find it near impossible so the paint sprayers may refuse to do it (if they are wise). Getting the ali trims in is a day's work.
