Lizzy if you was by yourself, all the scenes running from the the transformed Estrella you would have to press buttons and the ducking to. Same thing with Chris punching the Boulder and Sheva trying to climb from ledge. There is another way to beat Wesker instead of using rocket laucher, it takes alittle linger. But I you can use machine guns and grenade launcher and keep heating at him and damaging him and he will stagger for a long while then you can hold him and give him shot

I played this a few years ago on my stream with someone, and I was Chris. I remember having to push buttons for such situations. So odd!

​@@LIZZgameWhen they ported the game to Nintendo switch they added a (half-assed if you ask me) auto-qte setting and made it the default, which was then ported over to PC when they updated the game a little over a year ago. Even though they did fix a few bugs, they introduced new ones too 😒

What I don't like about the post-update automatic QTEs is: 1-They're inconsistent, like the entire ndesu fight which still has all QTEs (the giant from re4 using mounted turrets) And most importantly 2-Some things kinda break, like how characters climb ledges in a single animation cycle, like Sheva in the volcano at the end (but it can happen in other parts of the game too), which means Chris doesn't need to distract Wesker by shooting him at all since she climbs back up so quickly, and even worse: Chris' boulder punching animations only require pressing one button (which never changes) and every time you press it, it skips the punching animations early, which looks stupid/glitchy if you mash the button quickly

To Lizz or anyone new to RE5, at the 57:00 mark, she made a comment about Sheva ducking automatically. The reason why that’s happening is because at the start of the game, you’ll are given the option to turn of QTE’s. Basically you turned off QTE’s, chances are you didn’t even know what that was. Anyone leaving QTE’s on means you have to perform the dodges on the cutscenes yourself. Next time maybe try leaving QTE’s on, gameplay is a little more fun and challenging that way.

I didn't turn them off. And sometimes, I had QTEs, sometimes I didn't. It felt random.

@@LIZZgame Lizz take it from me, I play RE5 all the time over the past 15 years, I watched your play entirely. Your QTE’s were turned off. So it’s either one of two things, either you or Qualli accidentally turned them off or the game defaults them off, then you personally have to turn them on. Now on the latter, I could’ve sworn the game defaults with QTE’s on the very first play, then it’s up to the player to change it. My very first play was back in 2009, it’s always been on for me, but I’ve seen the option to turn them off and on, in the settings.

@@seanmiles6991 ok then that's odd. I never turned anything off, I definitely played it with QTEs in my first playthrough, but I had the game uninstalled between those. Nut sure what happened, but I don't mind QTEs at all, in the contrary.

It's a funny coincidence, but that Ethan W. died back in 1998 (beginning of the document refers to RC being nuked as recent news). According to the wiki there's also an "Ethan Wilson" which is some test subject in RE5, maybe the one from the flamethrower boss fight, and they're also not the same person lol. Unrelated, but there are other similar examples in the franchise, such as "Albert Lester" in RE Outbreak File#2, very original 😂

It's not Ethan Winters from RE7. Just a coincidence. RE5 takes place in March 2009, RE7 in July 2017, so they cannot possibly be the same person.
