I can see the merits for Crystal Beast control, but I'm leaning towards combo because it gives me an excuse to actually Summon Rainbow Dragon even if it's going to be used as material for Rainbow Overdragon right after.

One thing I like about the Overdrive combo is that it feels like a puzzle to be solved, and the reward is throwing down Rainbow Dragon 😁

Overdrive combo is super fun but I’ve so far learned control is better to roll the dice and go first or second. Overdrive suffers going second if you get shifted unfortunately. Great video Neshy, you’ve taught me a lot.

Nice shoutout to dread guy at the end! Really liked the video. Due to the lack of floodgates - especially tcboo - I think the overdrive turbo versions caught up a little bit. Conclave control is more interactive, which in my opinion requires you to rely on ur knowledge of the opponents decks end where to interrupt them a little bit more. And if ur playing pure overdrive, play two copies of overdrive. Resolving it twice is only possible with the pure version and it feels great to pull it off! Let‘s catch up to the big leagues in 2024! Can‘t wait to see what you and dread will accomplish this year! Nothing but love 4 u guys ❤

I loved the deck so much that I ended up building a Hybrid list that plays both Conclave Control and overdrive combo changing between the needed situation, I love it so much since it combines both styles and it's so fun to adapt on the fly to my opponent😊

Currently i'm brewing a zombie conclave control variant utilizing salvation + zombie world to go into various vampire extra deck monsters + fun super poly targets. atm its inconsistent and prone to soft locking buuuuuuut... love the archtypes + zenith into zombie vampire as an extender is sooooo much fun

I play both forms, but atm prefer combo more. It just feels fun especially in the current meta. But I will never leave the Conclave!

I like the combo variant more in general. I like Crystal Beasts and more Crystal Beasts = more staying true to the theme and intentions of Johan = more good in my eyes. But the control variant in MD feels better mainly because of not losing to the cockroach. It's also easier to use thanks to the use of non-engine over engine-mandated bricks.

Crystal beasts are honestly one of the funnest decks for me, I be a yugi boomer, I love the older decks alot more then the modern, currently run two versions of decks using crystal beasts, one being a Crystal beast deck using all of the beast, advanced included, the other is a pile deck combining crystal beasts, Charmers, dogmatica, and vanquished soul. I have an absolute blast with both decks

I play both, I main control and side in combo if I'm going against a deck like tenpai dragon that struggles going first. So, depending on my match ups, I'll play one or the other depending on what's best for me in that specific scenario.

I'm finding that 60 main deck for combo works well because there's less chance you draw your brick beasts. Also, now that master duel has added everything else, I've been messing with grass lmao

I will maintain that they did Rainbow Dark Dragon dirty in the real printed card. Didn't even get its destructionprotection effect from the anime, and now the value is tied to being an Ultimate Crystal card and a beatstick. Sadge.

Neshy you probably won’t see this but you can make a combo with Crystal bond and rainbow brined / awaking of the Crystal ultimates. Another combo is with sapphire peggasus rainbow bridge of the heart and any other Crystal beast

In my opinion overdrive combo feels more fun. I dont like using advanced crystals because it just takes 1 or 2 bystials and no rainbow dragons for me. However if we talking about taking on the meta id say conclave control has more at its disposal

Hi! I’m new to crystal beasts and I’m trying out different variants. I wanted to ask if you heard of a particular synchro card and if it would work well with the Crystal Beasts deck. I know it’s normally not a synchro deck, but I wanted to know what you think. The synchro monster is Enigmaster Packbit, a lv8 water Cyberse monster with the effect to send monsters from your graveyard or your opponent’s side of the field to your or or opponents spell/trap zone upon synchro summon or being sent to the graveyard. Could this work with the deck? Is there a tuner that can both bring this out and complement the rest of the crystals? If you ever get a chance to read this comment, let me know what you think!

Hey neshy i dont remember if u have but could u by chance do a full breakdown of the possible outcomes of using a hybrid of these two. Perhaps with the advanced crystal tech. Also i have trouble understanding how numeron works with this deck. Full breakdowns of xtra deck tech and what each are good for This is my chanel for crystal. Love this archetype I also love nordic im wierd. I like the odd ball stuff

Have u tried playing with Revolution Synchron? it can make AFD with a pegasus and go into crystal wing or extend by SS a lvl 4 from hand or getting another field spell (if u drew one before). Alternatively , you can go into powertool -> get golden rule and then crystal wing after

Hey Neshy, absolutely love all of your content on CB! Always passed by the tcg aisle at Walmart and CB seemed to call my name. Your content pushed me to actually get the decks. I'm currently playing a budget friendly version with basically the 3x structure deck + golden rule with extra support cards only in the extra deck. I like playing overdrive version. I have dimension shifter, crystal abundance, and ancient city - rainbow ruins that seems like I could remove. Can you recommend 3 cards that I can swap in for these 3 that would help the deck?

TERENCE! Utopia Double is still awesome just format dependent. Giant Skyhawk won a regional invite with Conclave Control and used Utopia Double OTK like 3-4 times in his run

Wouldn't it be better to put salvation, FBGs and the field spells on the side for conclave? Then throw some non-engine on the spot? The conflict with shifter seems too big, plus I think the deck would benefit from ash and imperm.

Quick question because someone accused me of cheating on duelingbook recently: When I summon 2 Pegasi with the effect of a ruby carbuncle, they both trigger and go on chain according to SEGOC, letting me place two new beasts in my S/T zone right? They only miss timing if their summoning is not the last event on the chain
