Loved this tutorial, very helpful but I do have a question I can’t find the answer to anywhere. What if I only want to use part of on image on the label? For example, half the butterfly on one side of the label. Is there a way to do this so that the part of the image not being used is not seen? I hope that makes sense!! ❤❤❤
@hitherandyonstudio8 ай бұрын
Hi Samantha. Canva as of this reply does not let you layer inside a frame so my suggestion would be to overlay your butterfly so it sits outside the frame and then just cut it out when you print. There are other free editing programs out that which you could import into to achieve this but I am a photoshop/illustrator user and I am not sure what they are. You can search youtube for "Free graphics editor layers" or similar to help you find one. GIMP might do it

@@hitherandyonstudio thank you so much for your quick reply. That’s a shame as I like the finished sheet to look neat for printing. I think I will try editing the image first before importing it into canvas, see how that works 😄

I am so grateful for this video and am loving your channel. I love using Canva and this video alone taught me so much about how to create my own ephemera. I look forward to learning more from you. Thank you! I am going to you shop now to purchase your Canva templates. Would love to see more Canva templates to create other creative fodder and journal ephemera.

OMG. I wish I had seen this year old tutorial 4 months ago. I knew about the lock feature but in other areas I used it, I would have to unlock the image I was adding additional layers to in order to continue. I was having so many issues with the frames because each time I would add a new element, it would take over the frame as your example showed. I had several back and forth emails with Canva and gave up when they wanted me to video the problem I was having and send it to them. Thank you so much. I’ll have to subscribe and go thru your videos and see if you have one for making your own templates without having a bunch of other paid programs. I’m new to Canva and trying to figure out what it can and can’t do. Just a side note, the ability to choose just the “free” elements in “filters” is only available if you have the Pro version. I started out with the free version and it was not an available feature which is why I sprung for the Pro so I didn’t have to sift through all the images I couldn’t use. Makes no sense to not have that filter available on the free version. Thank you so much for adding that tip in your tutorial, I watched and searched for a fix to the layering in frames and you’re the only one to include it.

I am so glad I found your channel! This tutorial (and the tag templates) are fabulous! Although I am experimenting and learning with Canva, I am definitely purchasing at least one of yours that is on your site to save me potential headaches..LOL. So worth it! I spend HOURS creating collages by hand, and tho it is fun, I am excited to have this option as a time-saver when I need it. Plus... the options are limitless! THANK YOU and am definitely subscribing and checking out more of your videos. -Kathryn

I recently discovered your channel. This Canva tutorial is AMAZING! I am technologically impaired and have a stupid question. When I download the templates, how do I get them to Canva? I am working on an iPad, if that makes a difference.

When you purchase there is a file you get. In that file is the link to open these in Canva. Hope you have lots of fun.

I’m trying to get into junk journaling and getting materials, what type of paper would you suggest using to print these on?
@hitherandyonstudio Жыл бұрын
For my inner journal pages I use a combination of 110# GSM Cardstock (heavy weight) and a standard copy paper weight. The cardstock holds up well to gluing pockets and other elements on where the copy weight is great for journaling pages.
