Endless Engines challenge my breakdown | Render Challenge | Supra Transformer

Here's my submission and breakdown for the Endless Engines challenge by ‪@pwnisher‬. Very happy with the results, half way through I had thought my ambition was too high but with careful planning and effort it came out even better than I had imagined. How do you think it turned out?

Amazing job. I did transformer too for the Endless Engines challenge but not the rigging. After knowing the mechanism of transformer rigs, I realized that it must be very hard to build a full rig on your own...huge respect! I want to try making my own too. Thanks for the breakdown.

This is nuts! I was not expecting to see a transformer build for this challenge. Small critique: I'm not a professional animator by any means but I did notice a few things. The transformer landing on the ground seems a bit floaty, as well as the running. The weight transfer looks ok for the initial impact, but the hips take a bit too long to rise back up afterwards. The hips also don't bob up and down at all during the jog. There's also not much anticipation for the last jump, either. Just to clarify, this is way better than anything I could do, but I thought I would just give my two cents anyway. Cheers, and amazing work!

You can check out my latest video on this channel, it did work on the animation just a little bit (covered a few of your points) but because of the scale of his body and car parts I had a few restrictions on how much I can bend him so it's not perfect

SOOOO GOOOOOOOD!! literally the only criticism i have is that the head of the transformer is too level and smooth when he runs, there should be a bit of bounce and head movement on each step. Other than that, absolutely amazing work.

Also one thing I noticed is you've marked all your videos as "for kids" this isn't setup the way it sounds by KZbin, you should mark all of them as "Not for kids" as this option is the one that allows for people to comment, share and stuff, your videos might go undetected if you tick the For kids option

Great work there, the transformation and the perfect timing to transform from the bridge awesome. Btw idk if you have submitted it yet or not but if you didn't then i would like to suggest one thing, the end part seems little unsatisfactory compared to whole part of the video. The main model is going out of the view when it's needed the most to show the pickup speed.I would suggest you to work on that part. Other than that it's a good peace of work keep it up👍

A lot of it was kitbash combination, though the hinges, and some pieces of the body are modeled by me. With projects that don't have detail visible that much, need quick work or even are widely available and common it's best to use ready made models

It looks stunning! although I am not completely sure it fully follows the rules. The vehicle must exit the scene right frame, according to the FAQ. Right now it exits the scene top frame/ right frame. I am not sure if they would see this as a right frame exit, and it would be a shame to have this artpiece disqualified. Maybe you could contact a mod or smth, just to be sure?

Take more time on the animation, while the transformation itself isn’t super detailed you can make up for it by having some stellar animation. he doesn’t have to move slow as this is timed shot but think about the weight of him pushing of the ground to flip off the bridge, and then him landing. and if you wanna had some weight to scene even more. add some debris or road cracks, or sparks to indicate extreme friction or weight
