Endless Expert but If I Don't Get World Record the Run Dies (No-Skips)

Decided to add a little twist to endless no-skips by making it so that I have to get the world record on every level. If I don't, the run ends and I start over. I haven't figured out if I want to be able to see what the world record beforehand is or to try and beat it without knowing.

I'll say this, for "hold right" levels especially, if you at least tie the record I say it counts. You may not have credit, but you technically still made world record time.

I like this suggestion. If you tie down to the hundredth of a second then it's likely that the level is physically impossible to do better.

Really like the idea! Imo its better to check the wr right at the start anyway since it makes things more thrilling (also for the viewers) and doesnt make you waste lifes unneccessarily by restarting when you would've gotten wr anyway :)

The first half of the video is better because you weren't checking world record. Much more entertaining and with suspense. if you look the time before taking the flag you know wheter to restart or not so you'tre taking out all the suspense. But great concept if you don't check world record !

This was a surprisingly interesting format, fun to watch! I think a decent compromise could be that the first try has to be blind, if you want that first try WR you've gotta take the risk. After the first life, you can pause and check as you please. If you have to pause the game to start over due to a softlock or something, you can see the WR already so keep it simple.

I think I like it better when you can't see the WR otherwise it kind of kills the suspense. Maybe you could try it again with a set number of skips? so you can skip the hold right levels and such. Either way its a fun concept im looking forward to more!

theres a glitch where if you slide off an edge in the floaty newsup night theme and stop pressing any directions and spam twirl you go really fast compared jumping and twirling and i think you couldve used it at 23:30 to get wr

Make it so if you pause you have to restart. So you could see the world record but you lose a life. Risk reward again.

I would love to see you race Lilkirbs like this but if someone doesn't get wr then it's +3 on the end time, all 3-ups in a level is -3, and the race ends on the 3rd page (at the end, so 48 levels, should be the same amount as a traditional Mario). So if you don't make it, you can restart; but the time doesn't. Call it the triple threat.

EDIT: ok I see he already changed his mined. I gotta watch Videos first man Quote: "see this is the fun part. [...] I get to make the decision if I want to take it safe and try to risk it or play it dumb like I did" (8:06) so this is the reason why you don' t want to look at the WR before you attempt it. But I think it's more fun to try and beat the record with the lifes given. Sure it's interesting to see your decision before the goal if you think it was fast enough or not. But this decision is actually kind of random, because you don't know how optimized the record is. It's just guessing. It could be more exiciting after you beat the level and pray it's WR but it's the same exciting you get when you have 10 lifes and have to beat an optimized WR. What I wanna say is, I would rather watch you optimize the level with the lifes you have to get WR than loosing because you thought the run was fast enough when it wasn't. This would make you stack lifes when the records are easy to get and then beat optimized reocords with the lifes you managed to stack. In my opinion this alows for better strategies and just more fun gameplay, because when you start a level you have a goal you want to achieve and then you work towards it. otherwise you just try your best and see what happens. what is your opinion on that?

i think last challenge was more fun. you get out to get works record before coming back to continue the challenge only having one chance for world record makes you too cautious and still you "fail" a lot (while being the very strong panga) and makes it less entertaining to watch. in the other video you made, the only impossible levels are the hold-right levels, and for the others, you can take the win and optimize it repeatedly afterwards, and it makes your last video entertaining, both to see you get through endless normally and see you apply all the lesser known optimizations

I entirely agree, knowing the world record would make it so much more fun. The only gambling you'd have to do is when the world record is absurdly optimized, then I think the suspense would actually be worth it. Building suspense for what could be no reason just seems silly. I also agree that panga shouldn't let his chat control him. Stream sniping is just unfair, and he should only try to beat the initial world record. But alas, this was 3 years ago, and panga hardly ever does these challenges anymore. If only they realised, lol.
