By the way, in the last episode you started researching the Native District technology to unlock another minor faction slot. And now you replaced your existing faction (because you clicked "ok" without reading), finished researching the tech, and then forgot all about it.

Quill I think you should start a new series after this one on a harder difficulty. This really is a fun game but I think the ai hasn't been improved yet. Also I would suggest a vaulter run. On the last difficulty you juggle resources very often. Btw you should set up extractors ASAP, as you don't get the resource bonus unless you activate it. I think you need 5 starting off and five more for every city to activate. So you need 10 at the beginning then 15 if you have two cities and so on and so forth. Keep up the good work.

You will probably have learnt this by now but if you surround a borough(including your city center) with 4 adjacent boroughs, it will level up, and provide happiness. From which it readily follows that building in triangles will provide the most happiness.

You can manage your cities while battles are going on quill; that way you can still move optimaly while not having to watch the units waddle around :p. Just zoom out and click a city to do that.

I totally agree that while the game looks great, it's quite difficult to see what's what without zooming out to that simplified map thing.

The game is pretty easy on anything under serious difficulty in my opinion. Though I recommend playing on normal/hard for the first few games while your getting used to the mechanics.

Hello Quill o/ really liking the series :D hope you do more after this one is done. it really doesn't get any harder :| you need to put it on serious / endless for a decent challenge (atleast until an AI mod fix / official patch comes out that solves the problem ) also, the speed setting is akin to civ v speed settings, where it increases production and research times to make a lengthier game. IMO Endless speed setting feels like what the game is supposed to be played on, as your tech does not spiral out of control to the point where you are struggling to keep up with the rate of advancement, and makes you actually prioritize what you need since you cannot ( for instance ) solve a food shortage by near instantly researching public granary and then producing it in 2 - 3 turns at the problem city. the speed settings are super easy to mod if you want ( for instance ) keep the increased tech costs but have normal production costs. and what really annoyed me from the first 4 videos, is that you skipped over that glassteel deposit because you thought your province didn't have it. the game does not let you build extractors of any kind if you do not have a point for them to go on.

I prefer normal speed. although I've been getting drawn to the setting after that. in-between endless and normal speed.

I playes first on normal and then on hard, and it was just a bit more dificult, minor factions attacku a bit more and the Ai is a bit more aggresive on the conquering part.

I'd almost rather you start a new series on a harder difficulty. This game seems amazing otherwise

I see Amplitude Studios still like their fairly ugly square minimalist UI design.
