Just returned from there. I found the food very expensive and child school canteen like . The hotel is nice but the house keeping wasn't very good they didn't sweep our room in 2 weeks we were there . Housekeeping also left our door open all day . We did report to reception.

Uh oh! That doesn’t sound good! We’ve learned to report any issues right away and give guest services a chance to make it right. We found the food to be hit or miss here but 2 weeks is a long stay. I don’t think I could stomach eating at Dockside more than just a few days. Unfortunately if you found the food here still too expensive it is the least expensive of all the Universal hotels on property. Have you tried the Drury Inn down the road? We haven’t stayed there personally but they are around the same price for the hotel room but offer free breakfast and dinner so might be worth checking out for your next visit.

Pier 8 Market has the best french fries. Our family gets those just for a snack.

Yes! There are microwaves available at Pier 8. They’re located in the dining area by the Freestyle soda machines and the self serve coffee/condiments bar. I believe there might even be a toaster but don’t quote me on that!
