Thanks for this playthrough & analysis John. As a relative newcomer to solo board games, the sheer table presence of this game intimidates me. I enjoyed watching you navigate a few turns and look forward to future content on this game if you add some of the expansions to your collection.

Don’t be intimidated at all. This game is very fun and manageable and would be a perfect entry point for someone who is starting off in the solo hobby.

You got it!

Note! I forgot about the fact that if you play more than one culture card, you need to discard a card for each one played over 1. That makes things a lot tougher!

Great video. For end scoring, the Nomad doesn't use the offering track, only the honor track.During game he will never go up on the offering track.

OK. I was thinking he would use the offering track if the arrow pointed to the left. I’ll check the rules again. Thanks for the heads up!

Correction! I misinterpreted the rules(dutch). The Nomad DOES go up on the offer track, but only after he reaches the top on the honor track.Sorry for the confusion!

Overall agree - a good but not amazing medium weight euro. My analogy would be a game of tic tac toe where to place your mark you'd have to play a different mini game like rock paper scissors or hangman for each square. Interesting but not really deep at it's core. :)

I agree. I would not call this game deep at all. But, it is fun. When I play again, I am going to try the hard AI variant. Hopefully, that will push me to have to work harder for the victory.

Interesting, having watched the unboxing and seeing its numerous components I would have expected it to be of higher complexity and depth than it is. Will pass on this one. Thanks for the review!
