And it is that fact that delivers our victory. She cannot be taken from us Webb talks about the principle of ~Timshel~ (Thou mayest). in many of his compositions. That one will "be back again and again and again." Webb created this masterpiece. Miss Summer is still with us. This is living proof.

I understand what you are saying, but Miss Donna really didn't want to be known as the Queen of Disco--she wanted to be recognized for her talent and her ability to perform in various music genres. Effortless power voice - truly gifted to sing.Sadly singers like this will never be heard again.No other female will compare to her range and power.They dont make them like Ms Summer anymore.

Probably the best era… the Disco era. Everyone went to clubs in their polyester shirts, had drinks, danced, met girls and had just one hell of a great time. It was the last time we all had fun together. Sure sorry most of you missed it.

Lots of us have fun now. Everyone thinks there youth was the best :P

CoCoMoroney That is probably true. Trouble is, you do not know what you missed and, consequently, have no idea what you missed. I was alive for your youth, however, and what I said stands.

Growing up in the disco era although there was some good music, my friends and I were very intimidated, I found it to be exclusive, hedonistic and with causal homophobia at every corner, I had anything but fun.
@halo101st910 жыл бұрын
That is a shame, Alex, and it must have been tough on you. I have no conception of what you mean by intimidated. I always met new girls and was often given their phone numbers to call and no one ever gave me any trouble. All I ever had was a great time. Exclusive? Isn't everything when you get right down to it? You just make your own way and ignore the rest. Hedonistic? Of course, we indulged ourselves in great music, drinks, dancing and, for a guy, women. What is wrong with that? Homophobic? It was a heterosexual dream and there was no place for homosexuality... if anyone even thought about it which I seriously doubt, especially in the '70's. Homosexuals need to stop trying to interject themselves and their lifestyle into something as heterosexual as the disco era. They did not belong in the mainstream discos. Gays were in the closet for the most part, then, and everyone was much happier for it.
@alexlundell294710 жыл бұрын
Stephen Bass I suspect the only reason you liked the disco era was because 1970s USA was still deeply ignorant about sexuality, Your ilk were part of the problem, but thankfully your ignorance has not been passed to younger generations, you dumb fuck.
