I am now 61 years old, and because endometriosis is fueled by estrogen, thankfully I no longer battle with it. But during my mid thirties throughout my forties, I had severe symptoms, I also had uterine fibroids and infertility. In my situation, the link was environmental, I was a dependent at Camp Lejeune North Carolina, where there was a decades- long issue with water contamination involving various toxins. The majority of women who have endometriosis, have no known cause, I certainly sympathize, this is a painful and largely misunderstood illness.
