I live in American and my surgery is outpatient, getting this surgery in two days, pretty scared, but I know it’s necessary. Thank you for sharing your story, helps me know what to expect.

I had my endometriosis checked out during a recent appendectomy. A tumour was found in my appendix but I want the endometriosis cleared as I suspect it caused the tumour to happen in the first place! One surgery may end up becoming three.

Hello, getting my open surgery on Feb 2. Got bilateral endometriotic ovarian cyst. My ob told me to have a total hysterectomy because the cysts were big already. What operation did you go through, do you had cyst too? Honestly I'm nervous but I put my trust to God that everything will turn great. God bless us endo warriors!

I have had surgery numerous times, having cleanser and spray skincare etc for the face is so unnecessary and if you are kept in hospital all you need is a moisturiser. I couldnt care less about my skin care when i have been in recovery or even washing my hair at hospital. I always did that at home. Just bring simple essentials. All you care about is recovering and being able to function properly after surgery.
@aliciagrace21159 ай бұрын
Ivy, some people are very different.. If a moisturiser is all you want to take and you couldn't care less about skin care, that's fine but don't say other people can't take a cleanser or hydrating spray if they want to. Bringing some of your normal simple products like that provide a sense of normality in a scary, emotional time of having surgery.

Perfume is extremely inconsiderate to use in a hospital setting for staff and other patients.
@aliciagrace21153 жыл бұрын
I think it is common sense to use it after your surgery when you get discharged from hospital eg I did it on my drive home that's why I packed it. Thanks for bringing this up though: some hospitals do have policies on perfume etc but some don't - so everyone please make sure you read your hospital policy and think about others that may have asthma etc especially if you are sharing a room with someone + the staff that is looking after you.

Did you worry that they wouldn't find anything, and they would think your making it up? I have surgery on Wednesday, and I dont want to feel dumb if they dont find endo. My Doctor symptom diagnosed me a couple years ago.
@aliciagrace21153 жыл бұрын
Oh definitely! Believe it or not I almost pulled out of my surgery because of that fear but thankfully my family and doctor didn't let that happen! Honestly if they find nothing then it eliminates endo, which is great and then you can focus your efforts elsewhere so there is no losing. Surgery was the best thing I ever did because I finally had an answer, which provides a lot of relief. Good luck with the surgery and remember you're 100% not alone in this feeling xx

Thanks for the video, I just wish you had spoken more about the recovery process like when did the bloating go away and so on…
@aliciagrace21152 жыл бұрын
I can definitely do a more in depth video but it is different for everyone. For example some people's bloating goes away in 2 weeks, whereas for others it takes over 6 weeks, some people get back to the gym in 6 weeks, some in 3 months. All surgeries and what they find and where are different for everyone so it is hard to say as it won't be the same for you.

Heyy my name is Paradise and I’m 17💕I think I have endometriosis I’m going to the doctor so I could be properly diagnosed I’m very scared though.My periods are bad it effects my daily life with school work etc.I vomit and it is just horrible!My medicine barely works anymore.Could you give me some advice to take this all in?
@aliciagrace21153 жыл бұрын
I can relate to you soo much, I'm so sorry you are going through this! It is great you are going to the doctor to get it diagnosed (try to find a endometriosis specialist) - I recommend keeping a diary of all your symptoms you experience and when as well as what the pain feels like and a pain scale as the doctor will ask you a lot of questions. Being so young it will be hard to take in but getting a diagnosis early is so critical so the endo doesn't do anymore damage internally, you can get your life back and not be in pain! If you need anyone to talk to or ask more questions just message me xx
