Endoscope Set-Up & Pre-cleaning

Very interesting video. I am a Sterile Services Technician working in the Endoscopy reprocessing department of a sterile services unit. Its fascinating to see how a scope is set up for use after it leaves our facility. Thanks for posting.

not criticising but the scope should be connected last not at the beginning. We try to make the scope as clean as possible before inserting it to the patient. Air and water bottle and water irrigation should be set up first. Scopes should be laid down on the top of the clean towel rather than sliding the insertion tube on the side . We have to protect the tip of the scope and make it as clean as possible. Many thanks for this video.

Great inservice. So many unnecessary disposable components though. Added waste to the environment! You should totally investigate your reusable options with Olympus. 🌎💚

I hate olympus stuff.pentex is better.( I hv heard that there is 3rd company as well which produces endoscopes,never seen myself tho)😊
